Who did you marry?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 8:50 pm

Tell us who you married and why...

I am thinking of marrying Sylgja, but her clothes are terrible. And she has a hurt leg, which might make my Dragonborn unsatisfied in the bedroom.
Anyways, go!

I married Sylgja. I liked her simple clothing. She lives in my house with Lydia and Mjoll.

No one... it's not my thing. Married in real life is bad enough.

It would be nice if you could give them new clothes. I married Ysolda early in the game and her patchwork dress was endearing when I was broke, wearing leather armor and living in Breezehome. Now I'm rich, we live in Solitude and she should be wearing something a little nicer.

What are you even doing in this thread then? I think you are a certain type of creature that regenerates health but is somewhat susceptible to fire damage... and a boring one at that.

I married Ysolda by the way - I've always had a thing for redheads.

haha why? you don't have to spend time with them... you just go to them, take your money, maybe let them cook somethng which gives you better regenerations and leave. you just get bonusses from marriage.

edit: also married ysolda.

Marriage is far from useless. If you marry a follower, you can ask them to give you a food item that gives a major buff every day, and you can receive upwards of 100 gold every day, while they're following you.

Also, the act nicer to you, and you can choose where they'll go home to when you part ways, so it's easier to re-recruit them.

I'm trying to marry Sylgja, but the option isn't coming up no matter what I do, mara amulet, delivered her package, console commands, literally nothing works.

Just found the amulet of mara and had a chat at the temple. So far, the only flirt I've gotten is from the f***ing bartender in Ivarstead. I was like..really? It had to be the balding bartender that hits on me first. Sigh. Still looking.

My archer married Farkas, the hottest guy in Skyrim!

Not sure who my paladin will marry yet, I was planning on Erandur, but even though he is a priest of Mara, he's not a marriage option :(
