Who Did You Side With?

Post » Mon Aug 09, 2010 7:33 am

Alright, it's been two days now and most of you have finished Honest Hearts by now. So that begs the question, who did you side with? Did you go with Joshua's plan to fight the White Legs to protect Zion at the cost of the Sorrows innocence, or did you evacuate it with Daniel?

I saved 75% of the way through, but I went with Joshua the first time. I personally feel that running away from raider band scum like the White Legs just allows them to continue to spread. It stopped at Zion, even though I convinced Joshua to spare Salt On Wounds. I was suprised at how ornery the tribes become to one another and how they face open conflict. I reloaded my save and helped Daniel. I rescued most of the Sorrows and convinced Salt On Wounds to leave peacefully. I was suprised to see that the White Legs disbanded and how the Sorrows maneged to leave Zion and find a place like it. It seemed too perfect, except that the White Legs pollute Zion, a last paradise in the wasteland. Even though I prefer Joshua's ending to Daniel's, I will say Daniel's is better for all parties involved.

I sided with Graham, and let him execute Salt-Upon-Wounds. If the rumours in the ending are anything to go by, he returns to his old ways of brutality.

Just a shame we didn't get to see him being evil during HH.

Graham only because Daniel's ending was horrible for everyone.

I wanted to side with Daniel so I would have White Legs to come back and fight only to discover they we're gone anyway :banghead:

So went with Graham and made him stay good with the speach check.

Thank you for saving me time. I thought Daniel's plan was stupid from the beginning, but now that I know there is no white legs to fight after either way, I'm sticking with Grahm. I personally don't like Daniel either...

I saved the game before I entered the DLC, I'm gonna play it again without having to make a new character.

Making plenty of backup saves was really important for this one. At least with Grahams ending everyone is happy and the tribes are still there, Daniel's ending EVERYONE was gone. Not sure if it was a bug or something but it svcked.

And yeah Graham > Daniel haha

Initially I took the Daniel path, but after completing that and loading my save back to the decision and playing out the Graham path, I have to say that my main character will be sticking with this choice. It is much more powerful, and more consistent with how I see this character anyway. I'm no pacifist, and there's no reason to run away from your rightful home when you can crush your enemies. It also means that when I return to Zion, I still see Sorrows and Dead Horse tribe members wandering around in their village camps. That makes it all worthwhile. :D

Same here.

Although there's something to be said for the whole 'moving on' theme of the Daniel route, I don't particularly like removing all the NPCs from the area so I will be taking the Graham route on subsequent runs.

I did both. First Graham, because I just feel that he's right and Daniel's wrong. Then, just to see what happened, I sided with Daniel my next time through.

I prefer Graham's way.

Well I suppose the theme is Zion is always lost since its a state of mind, I suppose there is no "right" answer to this story as either path will lead to problems, I suppose Daniel is the "correct" one playing on the theme and also offering the better result for the Sorrows and Dead Horses but then again, it ignores Graham that oddly enough have no ending slide in that path.

Also all named NPCs leave no matter, even if you take Graham path they will still be gone ... the difference is if you take Daniel path the White Legs stay and the Sorrows and Dead Horses will be gone as if you take Graham side, the White Legs will be gone but the un-named Sorrows and Dead Horses will remain.

I did both, first Graham though. Mainly because I was itching to kill Salt-Upon-Wounds.
