First playthrough I'm gonna side with BOS just to see the 'Big Guy' in action.

I haven't played any other Fallout so this will be a first for me. Then I'm gonna reload and try all other possible endings. Railroad seem to do the lesser genocide so I guess I'll stick to them if I wanna play as moral as I can. Though this is a video game after all.

As for second question, I'll stick with the Atom Cats cause they are very well equipped and seem to have no killing on their agenda (except for self defense or defending others that are under attack).

This will be better in the spoilers section imo. There is so much you can write without giving out spoilers.

Random tip: if you think a thread should be in spoilers, just hit Report and toss in something like "Should this be in spoilers?" or "This is a spoiler thread". If mods agree, they'll move it. Report doesn't just have to be for trolling & arguments, and doesn't automatically mean penalties/banning/whatever for the person you're reporting.
