Who doesn't like the flamer?

Post » Sun Feb 07, 2016 12:15 am

My favorite weapon. Just love to burn down anything that wasteland throws at me.

Disagree? Take a look.

And with Heavy Gunner perk...it gets really crazy.

I love it, I just wish we could mod it into an Incinerator too.

I haven't used any of the large weapons yet, but might give the flamer a try soon. :)

doesnt do enough damage. there is a way to mod your weapon to shoot fireballs. kinda hard to hit enemies at a distance, but it's fun to play with.

Heh, nice.

I'd like it more if it did more damage and had longer range.

EDIT: Also, the stream of fire should be more... streamy.

I do love the Flamer. In Fallout games I love to play a pyromaniac character, using nothing but explosives and flame weapons. I found one with the 'Wounding' prefix. Now that was an absolute beast!

As an aside, does anyone know if it's possible to find a Plasma Infused Flamer? I think the combination of the green plasma and flames would look amazing.

No. I don't want to set the world on fire. I just want to start a flame in your heart.

What he said.

I'd like to use it though, I liked it in F3, but I'll wait until the kit is released to do something about that.

Me! That's who!!

Never really cared for it in any game. Short range, out in the open weapon. You have to stand there and take a pounding from all enemies while you use it. Has never been my preferred play style.

I can hear the 10yr old pyromaniac in me expressing some interest, but not enough. :P

Me. I prefer weapons that don't weigh a ton and actually do some real damage without blowing up every vehicle and barrel in a miles radius every time I use it.

I tried it out once (while in PA) and I did like it but a burned (no pun intended) through my flamer fuel far too quickly, so it became rather useless. I'd use it if fuel wasn't drained so quick and could stock up on a lot of it.

You can also put some pretty sweet mods on a flamer. My current Piper uses one.

I modded it a bit without sacrificing its range (I have yet to unlock Gun Nut 4, or whatever the Perk is that lets you mod the Flamer), but haven't used it again since that first time. I'll see what else I can do for it once I can do all mods, and try it again.

i would like to see environmental effects and object destruction. then the flamer would be used alot more.but the kneecapper does a fine job at stopping baddies in their tracks.

I recently discovered a use for it. It's great for destroying Mirelurks nests. Otherwise, it's too heavy and not useful in enough different situations to justify its weight.

I wish it could be used in settlements to get rid of dead bodies or all the rubbish laying around.
