Who else is excited for PAX Friday?

Post » Fri Aug 26, 2011 4:21 pm

This Friday 8/26/2011 Skyrim will be truly be shown to the world. No behind closed doors demo but rather a Public Demo presented by Todd howard at 2:00pm as well as several public demos. That also means the possibility of some people recording their playthroughs and sharing plenty of storys that they experienced. We are also promised a HD version around that time (or day hopefully) of the game in all it's glory.

I for one will be enjoying my Friday off soaking every bit of Elder Scrolls: Skyrim information that my eyes and mind can behold.

So what about you guys?!?!??

A good way to end my summer vacation.

And yeah, I'm excited to see what people have to say/show after playing it. I'm almost tempted to head to Boston and check it out.

i hope all the people playing get to use the character creator, THEN bethesda will make a collage of all the characters that were made! :D
it could give us more thoughts on what can be done w/ the character creator :D

Me I don't care. I will be gettnig the game on release day, so I don't need the video or not. I guess I still have the sour taste in my mouth from last time Todd tried to hype up a TES games, so in other words, I don't believe what he says anymore. He is good for hyping up a game that is for sure, but sometimes he just doesn't deliver on the product.

So this time I am staying away from the hype. Yes I love Oblivon, but when it first came out, I thought it was crap since Todd promised Morrowind 2.0. The good thing is, he isn't promising Morrowind/Oblivon 2.0 now but Skyrim 1.0, so that is the only thing I was looking for, and happy he is not making hte same mistakes as last time.

Some very valid words here I must say.

Lets just hope for the best then for release day

I'd like to resist seeing it, but I'm weak, so I'll probably catch up some screens or videos of the game in action :)

Can't wait till 11-11-11.

Ohhh ok I thought they both went together, the demo first then playable demo right after.

But I wonder too, if they would still make the demo playable on Friday, before the presentation on saturday

The playable demo is the same scenario the press got to do, no dragons, with only 20 minutes to scamper around Skyrim rather than 60 minutes. Even so, probably massive lines of people will be waiting to have a go at it. (Probably manyu repeat performers  As for Todds Saturday presentation, mmm, instincts say it will be something new this time. Press needs some new fodder beyond screen caps of character creation. Still going to get them dragons in though...

I'd be going, living only 90 minutes from Seattle, but the reserved registration forms and entry badges were all sold out by MAY 31, long before any announcement that Skyrim would be featured. And they've repeatedly stated no waiting people outside will be squeezed in should there be a lull in attendance levels during the day. Best I could do is hit up the Chuckwagon for a dragon leg..... : :violin:
