Who else is going to do this?

Play Skyrim in a dark room on an HDTV with surround sound...I recommend it strongly, especially cause' it adds to the epicness.

It's very hard to find a dark place in my house, so mission impossible even if I wanted to.

I'm on 24" and only use headphones. In FONV there is a difference to spoken companion sound if they are wearing a full helmet or not. I wish the sounds of Skyrim would so something similar (tones way down though) as a slight cue to whether a sound is in front of you or behind you, with a hint of Doppler effect as well.

56" Inch LCD with 600 Watt Samsung (not that good - but do the trick) speakers

Sitting on my comfy L couch next to my working bar area with a frdige and food so I do not have to leave the room.

Dark room, yes. But at my computer, and wearing big headphones.

My current plan is to play Skyrim on a gaming laptop (that I havent yet bought). That'll allow me to play anywhere, like on the dining table, in the backyard on a nice warm evening or elsewhere. That plan may change, but I dont see myself investing in another desktop that will glue me in one place.

I'm not big on the whole "escapism" ideal with games.
I play a game because I like playing a game, so in a dark room? Nope, my eyes go sleepy.
Surround sound? Nope, I don't need that kind of luxury.
Big ass TV? I sit 1.5 to 2 meters from my tv screen, any bigger and I'm gonna faint from dizziness.

Most definitely. My "man cave" is more than up to the task. It gets nice and dark down there and I got a decent 50" TV with a surround sound system to boot.

Just hope I don't annoy the wife too much. :D

Forget speakers! Turtlebeach or Astro for the win!! especially for those with space issues. Bose is awesome, but still requires room. That's why i go for wireless headsets. And not the cheap crap you find at target or walmart.

I myself have both, but I usually use the headset for when I play oblivion or fallout. Just makes sense, since it is a one person game.

Sorry bout that. I meant it adds epicness to pretty much any video game if you do it that way.
