I personally like to roleplay my characters, and i honestly can't do that when the PC is just a floating camera. In combat situations i'll change to 1st person, but for everything else it's 3rd person all the way, even if the camera looks a bit derpy. Plus i get to see my gear, which is always nice. I REALLY hope Skyrim will have a 3rd person view that makes combat just as viable as 1st person.

Anyone else prefer this view, for any other reason?

1st inside, 3rd outside, but in combat 1st.

Almost exclusively in 3rd person. Combat in 1st though.
