Who else is ready to quit

Post » Mon Oct 11, 2010 6:18 am

I'm ready to quit fallout new Vegas and trade the game in for one that doesn't have lag in it. Come on Bethesda get the update that will fix the lag or this is the last game I buy from you.

The game's engine is utterly HORRIBLE. I've turned all the settings down to their lowest/off and there's plenty of areas where it still stutters.

Also, I got a great slogan for FO:NV.

Is it really necessary to come on the forums and say things like this?

I mean, what are we supposed to do, try to convince you not to do it?

You are capable of making such decisions yourself.

Lmao! You are really going to quit one of the GREATEST games of all times just because of some lag??? If you want REAL lag, play Pirates of the Caribbean Online, trust me, it makes Bethesda/Obsidian's lag look like a smooth highway.

just wondering but have you ever ran into a random rock and got svcked inside and be in a free fall state forever with half your body above the rock's exterior it was funny at first to me then started getting annoying when it wiped an hr of gameplay away

Wow, just wow. I have this on the PS3 and its the worst of them all but I really could care less. Lag and a few freezes/crashes isnt enough to make me quit playing. I dont understand how some lag can keep people from enjoying the game. Its not like the game doesnt function whatsoever, it still works, just not perfectly. I cant believe anybody would let this ruin New Vegas for them.

Hope you do not mind if I use that quote? :goodjob:

I agree, I am a PS3 gamer and have crashed quite often, usually once a day if I am lucky.

A patch does need to be released, but I would not go so far as to quit the game for this..... That's what Auto saves for!

No not yet and I'm on pc so I can stop that with console command tcl but I did fall through a invisible hole in Vault 21 but on pc I have never just kept falling . I fall for a bit and then get dropped back into the cell somewhere and that even happened in FO3.

Just because someone else's game runs like crap is no reason to let your own game slack in performance.
I had problems in the beginning but the DirectX9 fix seemed to solve most of my engine related problems.
I don't really have any trouble with it right now, but I think it's silly the idea of accepting a choppy game just because it's less choppy than some other game.
It shouldn't be choppy at all. Maybe I'd let it slide for an Indy game, but last time I checked.. Bethesda/Obsidian had money. If your engine is crap -- use a different engine?

ROFLMAO..he seems to think so....whats worse is that he seems to think beth/obsi cares if he never buys another product...he's just one person..its thousands of us that would still buy another game from them.Hell if FO 4 was released tomorrow im sure 90% of the ppl who purchases FO NV would still run out and by FO 4(despite the bugs,glitches,etc,etc).....HAHAHAHHAHAHA

I am definitely frustrated with this game. I am being attacked by NCR Rangers for no reason (and no, I do not have a bad rep with them and I am not wearing an enemies outfit). I cant finish any of my quests except for the main one and how much fun is that? Doesn't Bethesda pay people to test the games before they are released?? Obviously it only takes one round of this game to find the major glitches. NEWS FLASH BETHESDA - DO NOT RELEASE A GAME WITHOUT GETTING THE MAJOR BUGS OUT FIRST!!!!! I will put this game down until ALL glitches are fixed. Good thing Fable III came out the same time or else I'd be biding my time with Law & Order.

Well on the PS3 version the game freezes for a second or two whenever you walk more than twenty feet. I think it's because it's trying to load the next area and the engine can't cope, so it just stops everything so that it can catch up. The game is an absolute shambles on the PS3. I really wish I had bought it for the 360 myself too, and that's saying a lot considering how much I hate playing my 360.

And I have to say, I am blown away by these two posts. I can't believe that people are actually willing to put up with the broken pile of **** that we've been lumped with here. Sure, I agree with what you two are saying about it being a great game. It is a good game, or it could be. But it's enjoyability is severely hampered by all of the bugs. You're not seriously telling me that you can play this game without worrying about it crashing whenever this "lag" occurs are you? I certainly can't. Every time it happens I think "Oh ****.. please don't crash again I haven't saved". It's impossbile to enjoy the game when it has that hanging over it the entire time.
