Making them up? I doubt this.
However, it is Very easy to see how some folks get caught-up in the storm of complaints on game-day, like bandwagonism by any other name. The truth is something different, as for everyone complaining about bugs and not-working games, how many copies have been sold where gamers have no issues? We never hear from those gamers, so we really have no idea how wide-spread the bugs are. What we see here in the forums is tons of [censored]ing and complaining, with a few positive threads mixed in by those bold-enough to brave the waves of anger.
Also remember that these reviewers (the professional ones) have had the game for Weeks now, where we just go it. So they have been playing allot longer than we have and know more about the games (and the bugs we will run into) than we do having just started. We're at a disadvantage in that respect, and I don't think game reviewers would stay in business long if they got into the habbit of making things up.
Its allot of emotion right now, people who love the game almost as much as me and get stuck on a big bug are Going to get angry about it, and many of them will find their way here. Take it all with a grain of salt.
