I've been away from modding for a while so I no longer remember the names, but Zerofrost comes to mind. Some of his stuff is way too exquisite for Skyrim, but there are a few things of his that I just love using anyway.

My Skyrim SE first new char is going to be a Nord. He will be dark, side with stormcloaks, probably vampires. While with my Khajiit warrior I'm wearing full ebony and soon I'll be going to full daedric, with the nord one I'll try to do a full playthrough with Iron, ancient nord and maybe steel equipment. It will be tough.
I like the banded iron armor, but the iron weapons not so much. I prefer the look of basic steel weapons, and especially the one-handed axe. I also really like the Nordic weapons but can't stand the Nordic carved armor. Same goes for dragonbone.. love the blades and the bow isn't bad, but the axes and armors I don't care for one bit. I find myself wishing there was a combo of the steel and leather armors, something with the nordic designs, but a light armor that's not bulky or impractical for long distance travel.
Not me. In fact, with the body and armour mods I use it's one of the worst.
Not me. I'm more a fan of steel weapons and leather and scaled armor.
I would have to say Dawnguard armor is the best. I would rank Iron very low.
I like the look of the imperial sword you can get at first.. Not sure what material that is.
Never crossed my mind, but now I can kinda see it. I'm personally fond of that full metal jacket Dawnguard helmet.
Yeah, I didn't see it either until my buddy pointed it out and totally ruined the Dawngard warhammer for me. Now I cannot look at the thing and not think "microphone".
I'm lucky in that department, I never liked warhammers to begin with. Never really played characters that would use that much brute force, + in TES games they always looked incredibly unrealistic and dysfunctional.
Honestly, I find the game's aesthetic in general rancid, so I tend to prefer mod armors that deviate slightly from it over anything vanilla. That said, there's something about the iron weapons' simplicity in design that I prefer over all the others. The armor...is okay, save for the abominable helmet. But then 90% of helmets are hideous so that's okay. Same goes for steel, but to a lesser extent (except I hate the armor entirely).
I want to say I like ebony armor, given how delightfully Dunmeri its design is, but at the same time those same exaggerated points in the boots, pauldrons and gauntlets bother me. Helmet's cool, though, especially compared to Oblivion's so I feel I have to give it points for that. A recent playthrough with Elven armor made me appreciate it a bit more (again, without the helmet). Bonemold's pretty neat too, I guess. Again, I enjoy it as a whole so points for that. I guess what I'm getting at is that I seem to prefer the Elven styles over the Nord ones in Skyrim? At least the legs don't look goofy. The weapons are a bit iffy, tho.
Great thing that Skyforge Steel also uses the same art assets.
