Who is enjoying this game?

Post » Thu Jul 01, 2010 4:17 pm

After everyone here comlaining about this game, i was just wondering who is enjoying this game. I have the ps3 version, and it has been bug free basically, only froze on me a couple times, but that is a small complaint. All my quests have worked fine, excpet for cass' special quests and everyone in the silver rush was instantly hostile.

I'm baffled at the people who thought FO3 was more interesting.

Besides the map feeling smaller, the depth of interaction is way more intense.

I know, even the ringo and powder ganger quest was great, i could feel how awesome it was going to be once i recruited everyone.

I have had no complaints about this game so far, been playing it for about six hours.

I love this game, i sitting at 35-40 hours of playing time, and still haven't gotten far enough into the main story to actually 'pick' a side. Though i have created 4 characters already, so that spreads the hours out a little bit on each playthrough. (Though my original character's playtime triples the other 3 characters playing times added together)

It is better than FO3 in possibly every single way, and I cannot stop playing it D:

It is only going to get worse when all the awesome mods come out. Oh god.

I'm enjoying the expletive deleted out of it. Had some serious performance issues on the PC at first, but a fix was found for that by day 3, and it's been fine since then.

I enjoyed F3, but I didn't especially care for a some of the choices Bethesda made with the game design (I won't go into it, there are 50,000 discussions about it already), and I constantly felt like the game environments and plot mechanics didn't really make any sense. NV feels much more like a functional world people could actually be living in. Unlike in Oblivion and F3 I've actually turned off the dialog subtitles because more often than not I actually want to hear what the people have to say instead of just reading it immediately and clicking through to get to the payoff.

Regardless of the complaining I don't think we're the only ones; it's been topping the "currently played" list in Steam for most of each day since it was released (Counter-Strike beats it during its peak hours of course).

I am enjoying the game to its fullest! I've only had 2 problems so far, and that is random freezes whenever I decide to fast travel, or enter a new area, as well as a freeze that prevents me from entering the lower level of Vault 11 :-(
Someone told me that clearing my cache might work, but I haven't tried it yet, definetly will!
As for comparison to Fo3... I think that the scenario of Fo3 was MUCH more suited for a post-apocalyptic game than Vegas, but the mechanics, interaction, quests, storyline, and so on in NV is just infinitly better both in numbers and depth.

Well ive had this game Since the 19th at 12 AM (I got the midnight release if you didnt get that) and I love it its much bigge the FO3 in the sense that there is more to do i love the variety of guns and quests and ways to compleate them I logged hundreds of hours in FO3 and New Vegas will be taking Hundereds more I have exerianced some glitches and freezes nothing serious only one corrpted save but im used to saving a lot from FO3. So overall I give Fallout New Vegas a 10/10 if they patch some of those glitches and 9/10 other wise

I really like the game but the loading times are really long and I never know if its going to load at all. It has frozen many many times on me. Playing on 360. In certain areas like camp mccarren the framerate will drop really really low.

I like the gameplay, but its almost unplayable for me. Certain quests aren't working right and a certain pawn shop has no interact-able entrance. It also crashes atleast twice an hour. On ps3 btw. Was having a blast with it even though the freezing was really draining my patients, but the quests not working has caused me to stop playing it all together. Just sorta ruins my experience when i have to keep restarting or completely dodge quests, locations, and actions because they are bugged. I realize every game has bugs, but this is an unacceptable amount of bugs for any game. Last pre-order i do with a product from either company.

I think it's great.

The only bugs I've noticed is it locks up every couple of hours or so, but I save a lot so it's not biggie.

I really like this one. But sometimes I feel there were more quests/things to do in the first 1-5h in Fo3. Might me just my imagination though.

Great game, and getting better all the time. And loving the updates done to game mechanics + hard core mode.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this game and will continue to do so. I've put about 30 hours in at lvl 20 and there is no end in sight.

Though, I am really pissed about the size of the map. On the Pip Boy it looks big, but you can go any further west of Mojave outpost, no farther north or east than Nellis AFB. [censored] [censored]. Like "hey, lets disguise how big it is!" Bah!

maybe 10 bugs so far i've seen. no crashes in maybe 15 to 20 hours of playing so far I just barely got to new vegas strip due to exploring and looking around game looks awesome at ultra video settings on a 32 inch LCD TV full HD

just wish fallout 3 was as smooth a game as new vegas but fallout 3 is alot worse even fully patched, then again fallout 3 runs well compared to others i've played
