So, who's getting the Legendary Edition tomorrow?

Post » Wed Jun 05, 2013 4:18 pm

Already bought all the DLC, so no point.

Yeah but I cant help wondering how many TES fans don't already have all the DLC. If your not a fan and don't have the game but might be tempted by a legendary edition that would be a reason to buy. However since anyone that has bothered to register and post on this forum is already a fan why would you buy something you already own ?.

A number of people don't buy DLC until the GOTY editions come out, they know they will save money this way, even buying the game again.

I wish big AAA titles would stop with the strategy guides and just focus on selling art books instead. I don't need to read a book to find out how to find a Dwemer ruin, but I'd love to read about the design philosophy that went into designing the look and layout of the Dwemer ruins.

I'll wait a while, but I will be getting it. I'm sort of gathering an Elder Scrolls collection - the game and all DLC for PC and PS3, the Legendary Edition, the Legendary Guide, the Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition and the Michael Kirkbride Indoril print I've ordered.

Legendary edition is advertised for x-box at £39.99 you can buy all three DLC for £25 for PC legendary is advertised at £29.99. Even if the PC DLC is £25 its still costing you more to buy legendry than the DLC if you already have a copy of the game that is.

If your going to base this on release day pricing, then you have to use the game's release day pricing, which was 55 pounds (I think that was the price in England)

Not in the England I live in whichever way you look at it legendary is not going to retail for less the £25 (the cost of all three dlc). If you already have a copy of the game buying the DLC is cheaper than buying legendary.

Yeah. Unless you're upgrading from a console to PC, I don't understand the appeal of buying a second copy.

The only people who are going to pay £40 for Xbox version of the Legendary Edition the are the 3 people and the dog who shop in GAME, the rest of us are buying it for £30 on Amazon.co.uk. To get the DLC on Xbox Live requires 3600 MSP's, which is £31, so it is in fact cheaper, especially since you don't waste your internet usage to download the DLC.

A new copy of base Skyrim is still selling for around £20, so new players have the choic of paying £30 for the LE or £51 separately. The PC edition is £20 on Amazon btw. So yes, in the UK, it is cheaper to buy the LE, not at GAME, but Amazon, like every sane person. GAME really want to get back into administration it seems.

Nothing that we don't already have. It's just the base game + all DLC with the latest patch on top.

I'm a GoTY person. I like to get the complete package with everything patched up, it's usually cheaper and tbh I simply don't have the time to play that much anymore so I'm still playing lots of other things. It's therefore quite easy to be patient.

To that end is it known if there'll be any further additional content in future? DLCs etc?

Thanks
