Who has finished the game?

Post » Sat Sep 26, 2009 7:18 pm

I am just curious to those on the forums still, who has finished Morrowind. Yes I know Morrowind is an opened ended game and dosn't end like the original ending for Fallout 3. Basically I am asking is those who have completed the main quest, and the expansion quests and did what you flet was there is to do in Morrowind.

For me, I think I got through half way through the main quest, and really havn't gotten far in Tribunal or Blood moon. I have over 250 hours or more playing Morrowind though. I guess resartitis gets in the way all the time :).

So for you guys, have you finsished the Main Quests or not?

I have finished the main quests of MW and both expansions only once soon after installing each. Other than that, I just look for trouble wherever....and play mods.

I finished Morrowind's main quest, once. I've gotten about halfway through Bloodmoon's main quest. I did not even begin Tribunal's main quest.

Finishing Bloodmoon first on Xbox made the Morrowind mainquest feel super easy :)

Usually mainquests are the last thing I do in rpg's. Feels weird when people call you hero when your adventure has just begun...

I have, several times.
But even then, I usually keep playing.

I finished the three main quests and all faction quest lines (Except for the vampire ones) at least once, but there are still some quests that I've never done.

I have done all main quests for the 3 story arcs, and most side quests.
Once with one character, other times spread out over many playthroughs.
That being said it takes me at least 6 months to settle on a single character I wish to playthrough a mq on any rpg.
Apart from mass effesct 2 which just felt like an action movie to me, so I never let up untill I did the whole thing in 24 hours.

Not yet, I'm starting a new character again. Sometimes I play far then take a break, forget what I was doing with the character, and start over. Also, most of my characters choose not to do the main quest.

Main quest and Bloodmoon three times - Tribunal, all houses, all guilds twice - Wizards Islands twice, The Underground 2 twice, the big bad in Silgrad Tower twice - none finished as a vampire/werewolf, though, and numerous quest mods only partly done.

All of the main quests, in all expansions, many, many, times. Lots of mods, and retired some characters to family life in either the frozen lands of Lokken, or the treetop villages of Valenwood(mods).

Also, I have taken to writing about the more traveled characters, in novel format. Just finishing up the part 2 to my first character's life in Lokken. Action, adventure, romance, betrayal, and even humor.

If a certain character really moves me, I recreate them as action figures:

I actually got distracted very early on and it took me a few years to remember there was a Main Quest ^__________^

but yea, since then ive done it tonnes of times.

'Vvardenfell' Main Quest is the best, by a long shot.

I've finished Morrowind's main quest twice. The first time was a couple of years ago along with the guilds, and the second time was back in July. I just finished the main quests for the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions for the first time in July as well.

Ive beat Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon 20+ times. I get bored of playing the same character for too long so I make new ones.

I've finished all three main quests at least once, in fact, I just finished the original Morrowind main quest with my current character, this time with Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins installed (I've played it before without it, too, of course.) On the other hand, on many characters I've played, I've never even spoken to Caius. And some characters did get to various different points within the main quest, but never finished it for a number of different reasons. Morrowind is really one of those games where you could easily ignore the main story and still find lots to do. In fact, while it is the main quest in the sense that it's the central story of the game, and the one that, in that the whole thing is the reason why you're in Morrowind in the first place, and its the quest that has the biggest impact on Morrowind in the long run, but it's still a reletively small part of the overall content of the game. Players who assume that just because they've completed the main storyline means they've seen all the game has to offer will miss out on a lot.

Myself, despite having completed the main quest, I know there's still a lot of side quests I've never completed, and places I've never explored.

Completed the main quest once, and Tribunal once. Never played Bloodmoon, and there are loads and loads of quests I've never done. So I can still really enjoy the game as if it's new :)

The first time I played I never finished Morrowind, then a year or so later I finished it, as well as the expansions. Then when my game crapped out I bought it for PC and beat it all again. Yet, there's still a lot more for me to do, and whenever I get my old PC, and get it running again, I'll install it and play it to its fullest.

I look at it like this. You can never finish this game. Even if you 'finished' the main quest, have you done it with all the races?
Have you done so before or after other quest? Have you done the main quest as a Mage, Warrior, ...so on and so on? This
game has endless possibilities, combination and paths to play in many different ways. Not to mention all those combinations
with the multitude of mods out there. Good luck on 'finishing' the game! :P
