Who has a game above TES?

Post » Thu Sep 08, 2011 9:36 pm

Was just wondering if anyone here has a game they hold above TES. And when I say TES I mean which ever TES game you liked the most. For me it was Morrowind.

Mine was SHENMUE. I don't know what it was about that game, but it has always had a lasting effect on me...

On that thought: Someone please make a Lan Di Character model in mods so I can finally kill him!

Should include a "maybe". It is hard to decide if Skyrim will be my favorite game of all time without having played it, but it looks like it will be.

I find it entertaining when people ask these types of questions on the Skyrim board

But no, I love TES and Fallout equally :tes: :fallout:

Well, I have a feeling Skyrim will be my new favorite game of all time, but as of right now it definitly goes:

1. Oblivion
2. Fallout 3
3. Timesplitters 2
4. Age of Empires II: Age of Kings
5. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

Hells to the yeah.

Yeah, it's okay. I'm in that kind of mood tonight. :P

There are games where I've had more fun...some where I've laughed myself silly...but none have held my interest as long or absorbed more of my hours than Morrowind. I still play Doom and Doom2, but I don't get multi-hour sessions out of them like I do with MW.

Hmmm I'm sorry to say that my favorite game is actually MW2 and hopefully MW3 coming out. I just find the challenge of stealth and sniping from real players so more invigorating than sneaking past oblivious guards and bandits. Dont get me wrong I LOVE the TES games but i just love CoD a tiny bit more

I've never played another game as long as I have Morrowind, or been as immersed, but Shenmue did strike a chord in me that no other game has.

Oblivion is tops for me. The only games I have spent anywhere close to the same amount of time on are: Dragon Age Origins, Morrowind, Thief 2, Warcraft 2, Chrono Trigger, Wizards and Warriors, and Realmz.

I have nothing above Morrowind, but a few over Daggerfall and Oblivion. Grim Fandango, Planescape: Torment, Freespace II, and Fallout 3 would sit above Oblivion. No One Lives Forever I/II, X-Wing Alliance, Fallout II, Age of Empires II, Splinter Cell, and KotoR II above Daggerfall.

1. Morrowind
2. Planescape: Torment
3. Grim Fandango
4. Freespace II
5. Fallout 3
6. Oblivion
7. No One Lives Forever
8. X-Wing Alliance
7. Fallout II
8. Age of Empires II
9. KotoR II
10. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
11. Daggerfall

Pokemon Red ftw.
I also enjoy dbz games, though I tend not to buy each and every one simply because...well, you know. Sly Cooper is a blast. Carnavors may be old, but back in the day I had quite the love/hate relationship with it. It was so glitchy one could mistake it for advanced ai. Those meat eaters were killers man.

Hmm, that's about it really. I liked the first FEAR, but after playing through it once it loses it's thrill. Same with all the Need for Speed games. Halo and Cod are meh with me. They're fun but not for extended periods of time.

It probably goes pokemon red, TES, Sly Cooper, dbz raging blast, and then everything else.

When I consider of the sheer potential of each new TES game, I always think "this could be the greatest game ever!", but so far each game has always had some inherent flaws that are so hard to ignore that I end up saying "oh well, maybe next time!"

I guess that's to be expected with a game of this scope. My all-time favorite games tend to do fewer things and do them extremely well (ex: Super Metroid, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Thief: the Dark Project). However, none of their sequels excite my imagination quite the way that the announcement of a new TES game does. I keep holding out hope that maybe this could be the chosen one.

You know I've seen the entire DragonBall, DBZ, DBGT twice through. English and Japanese. But for some reason I've never played one of the games. I should get on that!

Highly depends for me. As far as an Action RPG, the hole Oblivion was a rock on score. Story was lame, but gameplay was amazing. I was 120% there for the free roaming action, quests, what not, THATS what hooked me. However, IMO the latest Deus Ex not only has top notch visuals, but has a very well interwoven story to boot, as well as some bit of guided free roaming. I spent 35 hours completing the campaign, and i still desired to play it again, just to find more of what i havnt already discovered.

With that comparison, they may as well be tied. So theres my answer.

Yeah pretty much nothing beats TES. Although I've only played Oblivion but I've played 99% more than anything since 2006. Skyrim will become life. It should have its own religion.

...research first. Like, watch some videos and look at the list of characters and such. I got...Infinate world a few years ago. First mission has you jump through hoops as Goku as you go after Raditz to save Gohan. litteral hoops mind you. Hoops. I traded it in very very quickly. I got DBZ raging blast 2 for the 360, and it's fun. But it also kinda lacks a story mode, which kinda takes away from the game I think. Got a few good modes to fight in though.

Anyway, ya. Look into what you think you want to get before you buy it. Dbz games aren't exactly known for there...erm...quality. I'm a huge dbz fan, but I've only gotten three games total simply because not that much changes game to game...and like the hoop incident every now and then they'll do something rather...stupid.

As far as a game SERIES? No, TES is my favorite. But Zelda comes in a very close second. Followed closely by the Halo series.
