I'm gonna give it a whirl in a bit (once i level my Dunmer enough), then he'll be a rich Cheydinhal (spelling?) resident who goes to people's houses at night, kills them then takes there valuables... i can't wait

I have a couple of times, it's kind of fun, but the restrictions can make it get boring real quickly. Plus it svcks that you can only feed on victims while they sleep and can't kill them.

I used to get infected and roleplay it without the cure all the time.
Now however I rarely catch it, and never really seek it out, maybe in a bit I think i'll have another bite at the subject.

I tried a couple of times on the 360 to play an Argonian vampire, sort of like the ultimate hunter. It was quite amusing.

I've done it before, but it can be a pain when it comes to selling stuff, needing to get yourself topped up on blood so you don't slowly fry or explode in sunlight. I usually decide it's too much of a nuisance after awhile. Wonder if those bottles of blood I've found can be an emergency stash when I'm traveling...

I've tried it but the vampires look so ugly especially if its a female character. I usually would use a Dark Elf, or a Breton and hope to get the Flame Ring around lv 20

No way I could be a monster or deal with having to spend half the day inside.

I would say no, but I must caveat that by saying we have not tried. I'm afraid reading about it on wiki and the forums over the years has been enough to convince me that our tea cups belong under silver pots that do not pour red.

Tamika's is lovely, but blood? Not so much.

The forest elf loves dancing by the light of Massur and Secunda, but she would surely miss the kiss of the sun upon her cheek.

And volunteering for pink eyes and wrinkles? Methinks no no no.

Why the very name of my character suggests her path lies in a different direction; for she is a Child of Dawn whose fate has been touched by the very hand of Azura. She is a Slayer of nightwalkers.

Yea, I have a vampire who owns houses in almost all the cities and plays a nobleman and occasionally goes on a crime spree or svcks some blood. I think its fun to sprint around at night in bruma hopping on peoples roofs, or picking pockets randomly. sometimes i pick out a victim and follow them home XD Likewise, the sometimes wilderness adventure is fun too, like destroying some unprepared bandits etc. Theres lots of ways to role play vampires

I heard that, one time I had a young little breton girl (she was VERY attractive) and I allowed her to turn into a vampire, but then instead of her being an attractive vampire breton she turned into a old lady vampire breton.

long story short she got deleted.

I roleplayed an imperial knight cursed by vampirism lika 2-3 years ago. I enjoyed this character very much...his crusade was to kill every single vampire in search for redemption and forgivness for what he had to do every night. So he joined The Order of Virtous Blood in order to help them fight monsters and to gain knowlege about what he had become. Then he met a priest, who told him that there is a way...there is a cure. So he talked with mages, met some sort of witch and tried to do what she asked. That was the only way to get rid of the curse...and then I stopped playing I don't know way. Pitty...it was a good character.

Gregreo had been a vampire once, long, long ago. He hated it so much he was willing to do that really long cure quest.

He's happy to not be a vampire now. :twirl:

I currently am playing/rping a vampire character, using the Unholy Darkness Mod. I enjoy the challenge, and he, while he despises his state of being, enjoys the advantages it affords. He is a Lawful-Evil Breton Blackguard. While he has heard rumors of a cure, he hasn't had time or opportunity to follow up on it.

It's funny this topic came up, I'm about to finally RP a vamp. That's what Luci Pheria is going to become for sure. It just seems like the right thing to do. :)

She's supposed to be an old crone witch, yet I was dismayed that when I was creating her and pushed the age slider all the way to "oldest", she doesn't look as old as I wanted. She's supposed to look like the Wicked Witch of the West in Wizard of Oz, you see. She also hates sunlight. She hates people (but loves torturing them). She's just evil as can be!

To be honest, I've been losing interest in Luci over the past week, simply because she doesn't do quests. She was great fun for while, but lately I've been with my other 2 current characters because their lives are more diverse. But if Luci becomes a vamp (and she will) it will put a whole new twist on her storyline. Plus it'll give her a bunch of new spells and she won't have to buy them.

...i'm quite looking forward to getting rid of her bounty so she can feed, too! :D Sneaking around at night searching for victims just sounds mega-fun.

Eh, Vampires.

I have a love/hate relation with them. It's annoying that other vamps still try and kill you, so there is no sense of "belonging" (in Vanilla), but on the other hand, the sun damage and skill boosts make you feel like a real monster, especially the way NPCs are scared of you.

I went off vamps when I learned you couldn't become a bat. :( :( :( :( :(

My current character Leinheart wants to become a vampire so he may be an ageless being wandering Tamriel for eternity. Though he will kill his brethren for the ancient trinkets and secrets they hold.

I finally did with my last character - an Argonian Spellsword. He was infected quite by accident (I thought it wouldn't happen with his disease resistance) so I decided to go with it. It was quite fun with him being Mr. Goody-Goody Crusader and preying on his recruits at night.
