I was just wondering how many people enjoy gambling and would like to see options like dice, cards, roulette,and slot machines available in the game. I always enjoyed gambling in fallout 1 and 2 especially fallout 2 the craps were pretty much spot on as far as what bets you can make. I don't know how the economy in the game will work but i think it would be bad ass to own a casino in the wasteland. Is there anything you cant do?

Would love to see it, just a bit more... eye-candy to it perhaps, compared to f2 gambling.

But it would be fun to have a some ways of obtaining money except for doing quests or selling stuff... well loosing money as well >,>

I agree with Bikk - would love to see it in game; the only real problem I see is that there is a black market for most MMORPG's for buying gold. Given that you can now gamble for credits which could be used for an illegal real cash trade in, their could be an issue with gaming/gambling licenses depending on which area of the world you reside.

I know here in Australia, it would probably become an issue :/

When i said cards i was thinking more like black jack but i definitely like wasteland hold em. on a side note it woulld be sweet to have fallout inspired playing cards...dogmeat as the ace of spades perhaps. Is there anything you cant do?

also, make it so luck has nothing to do with it, because if it will people will start to make 10 luck characters -.- (if that system is used)

You know, they could always implement card games and stuff without actually letting anyone win anything meaningful from it.

That is, no cash or anything, maybe 'prestige' type stuff like, I don't know if there are going to be titles or something like that, but there's an idea, a cosmetic thing, something.

Then it could just be some fun stuff to do with small benefits that won't unbalance anything or cause anyone to turn to gold-buying or stacking Luck related stuff.

How about betting actual items?

I bet my 10 mm gun and if I win I can retrieve an item that is worth the same as my gun.

Just do like they did in Ultima Online, add board games, gambling will come naturally. There was no cards there though, but chess and whatever it's called, that pinstriped split board where you move black and white round thingies. You just double clicked the chess board and it opened like a backpack, and more than one could open it at a time, and you just played like usual.

isnt any mmo RPG is one big slot machine? which is why ppl like it so much.

Love the idea of gambling in game.

Problem is, it's not in many games for the reasons geX mentioned above.

If it does come, I'd like to see it as more group content than single player slot machines.

First off i would like to say i hate slot machines in real life so i too wouldnt use them if they were there. Unfortunately it's the only form of gambling that some people are willing to try next to the lottery(by the way the lottery is the only thing that has worse odds then a slot machine, worst odds most popular games go figure)with that said if there is gambling in game then im pretty sure they will be there.




That sounds good and i would like a title so everyone could acknowledge that i'm the jack binion of the wasteland but if all there is a title or something not very meaningful it takes the flavor out of it(its not worth wining unless you win big) anyway i dont really see an all out gambling scene with the black market. So i'll just roll down to Atlantic City thats basically like gambling in the wasteland. Is there anything you cant do?

If There is gonna be a "Neo Vegas " in this game HAVE to have gambling, and strippers, and dancing girls , and brothels, and drug dealers. MMO's... MMO's never change...
