Who likes the idea of split screen multiplayer?

Even though myself and a lot of other people here are mainly looking forward to the pc version of C2 (which obviously wont have split screen multiplayer), and despite some of the console players that say 'just play xbox live, PSN, or system link your consoles' I think it would be nice for the console versions of C2 to have split screen multiplayer - up to 4 player would be excellent.

I've been disappointed with some of the new games now becuase they lack split screen multiplayer, xbox 360's and ps3's have 4 controller compadiblity for a reason! Though i do understand the point that some game engines cant handle processing more than one set of gameplay on one console. But the strategy that ive seen some games do is to lower the visual quality by dividing up the quality of the one player full screen into 2 - 4 mini screens.

COD mw2 from what ive seen appears to be a visually good looking game (of couse nothing near as good as what crysis and crysis 2 has), despite this infinity ward was able to do create split screen multiplayer up to 4 players. Im pretty sure crytek with their amazingly flexible cryengine3 should able to do something like this.

I do hope for split screen multiplayer in crisis 2 because it would be awesome fun to play with my family and friends that come over (without having to pull out another console to system link).

What do you guys think?

Being able to play a game with the friend sitting next to you is much better then playing online. No worries about lag due to the ISP or the servers. No worries about random PSN disconnects either. Besides, then I can actually play the game with my son.
