who is more powerful The N.C.R or the B.O.S

Post » Fri Dec 24, 2010 5:36 pm

they are both powerful forces compared to raiders and most wasteland factions.

But which has more influence and power.

my bet is with the New California Republic. because they seem to be more powerful and unionized

I'm going to say BoS... The east coast BoS was low on supplies and good soldiers, but the BoS in the west probably still has high recruiting standards and access to better weapons (of course nothing can beat Liberty Prime!). From what I've seen the NCR doesn't even wear any decent armor...

NCR is one of the most organised faction in the post apocalipse, BoS don't have the power to compete against the NRC

As a whole faction, NCR is far more powerful then the BoS. But individually, the BoS is godlike compared to the standard NCR trooper. But it also depends on the Fallout 2 endings they make canon; Did the Republic become taken over by far right-wing reactionaries who accepted the Enclave Remains or are they still content with gaining land through peaceful means. If the former, then the NCR would probably have an advantage over the Brotherhood, if the latter, then the BoS would probably be able to keep the NCR's gains at a minimal.

Yeah, I heard that... But then they are suppose to be fighting for Hoover Dam, right? So I guess whoever you decide to side with is the more powerful...

Going to play though like 100,000x so I'll definitely side with both at some point >.<

NCR, it already had a population of 700,000 by the time of Fallout 2. Even though NCR isn't as technologically advanced as the BoS, they have weapons that can destroy Power Armors and the BoS do not have the technology to build new ones. San Francisco is the only faction other than the Enclave that might have the technology to build Power Armor and they're unaligned so they'll probably be willing to sell Power Armors to both the BoS and NCR. Since NCR is much richer than the BoS, they can buy more high tech equipment from San Francisco.

The B.O.S./ Enclave would have the most power. 3 years after FO3 the Bos must have remade Liberty Prime seeing as how they researched him inside and out.

If the Enclave ending where you destroy the citadel is canon then the Enclave has a mobile base/ satelite missle system hundreds of soldiers and then if you add Mothership zeta into the mix I would just become a faction of my own go under cover and act like im fighting against the person who has control of MSZ.

Theres a lot of what ifs but NCR is going to be the main faction in FO:NV.

It's very unlikely that the destruction of the East Coast Citadel is canon. What else would make the BoS more powerful, besides Liberty Prime (Even though the NCR could most likely kick the [censored] out him, with Archimedes II)?

I'd say BoS mainly because of the previous games and Liberty Prime. I don't think they're as powerful in this though because of the "Minor role", but ya never know. I think the NCR most likely has a major advantage in NV though.

According to the laws of Video Games, the most powerful faction is the one that the Player Character associates with.

Indeed. Have you ever played a video game where the Official Ending (Alternate Endings aside) had the Player Character's faction get their butts kicked and the Player Character loses? The PC and everyone they ally with, are always protected by the divine power that is being the Main Character in an RPG.

Yeah. FF7: Crisis Core, I believe the title was. Zack, who's a much better man than Cloud, marches to his death fighting the evil corporate army.

Speaking of which, Crysis ends with the US carrier group getting sunk, with Nomad, Psycko, and Dr. Rosenthal being the only three humans left on the island and going back to fight again.

Mass Effect 2 has a possible ending where everyone dies except Joker.

Crisis Core, we all knew Zack was going to eat it-- They show you that and chisel it in stone during FF7. That's not really a fair comparison when everyone has known for ten years that he dies.
Mass Effect 2 comment equally mooted as I stated "Alternate Endings aside".
