So who pre-ordered?

Post » Wed Sep 08, 2010 7:45 am

CE Gamestop.

No reason really. I always just pre-order from there.

I mainly just want the novel from the CE. It's going to be so hard reading it before I let myself play the game. Hopefully it just makes the story that much better though.

Agreed the novel was the deal maker on the ce for me as well and i will be reading it befor i play but after i install hehe.

Pre-ordered on PC at EB Games. In addition to the standard goodies.

The Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Edition comes with:

* Let it Ride! In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it’s all in how you play the game
* “Lucky 7” poker chips. Each of the seven poker chips was designed to represent chips from the major casinos found on the New Vegas strip and throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
* A fully customized Fallout: New Vegas deck of cards. Each card in the pack has been uniquely illustrated to depict characters and factions found within the game. Use the cards to play poker, blackjack or Caravan, an original card game that was created by Obsidian especially for New Vegas!
* A recreation of the game’s highly coveted “Lucky 38” platinum chip.
* A hardcover graphic novel “All Roads”, that tells the story of some of the characters and events that lead up to Fallout: New Vegas. “All Roads” was written by Chris Avellone, the game’s creative director, and created in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.
* ‘The Making of Fallout: New Vegas’ DVD. This documentary DVD will contain exclusive video content, including interviews with the developers in which they take you from concept to creation and discuss topics such as story, setting, legacy of the Fallout franchise and more.

I get,

Reserve Fallout: New Vegas and receive the Fallout New Vegas Classic Pack, containing:

* Armored Vault 13 Suit - Extensively patched up and dotted with piecemeal armor, this outfit is an homage to the classic ending of the original Fallout.
* Vault 13 Canteen - This handy device is useful for staving off dehydration and providing a small amount of healing in the Mojave Wasteland.
* Weathered 10mm Pistol - A well-worn 10mm pistol that packs an extra punch despite its modest size.
* 5 Stimpaks - Food and water are good for long-term healing, but when the fighting is fierce, Stimpaks help keep Wastelanders upright.

Fun times.

I mainly just want the novel from the CE. It's going to be so hard reading it before I let myself play the game. Hopefully it just makes the story that much better though.

It takes place two weeks before the events in the game, it makes sense to read it first.

Pre-ordered the CE from Amazon. I love Steam, but can't get the CE from there. And I refuse to shop at either Best Buy or Gamestop unless I absolutely have to, so Amazon it is.

Also, release day delivery. Pay a little extra so I don't have to leave the house and deal with the ****wads at a store? Yes, please. Heck, I probably even save money on that due to gas savings.

I preorded my copy of the Collector's Edition from GAME.co.uk for the PS3 a few weeks ago, I missed out on the CE of Fallout 3 unfortunately and this time I just could not bear to not get it, so this time I am (considering I'll actually be able to afford it).

About the UK Collector's Edition, I have a question.

1) On the collector's edition page on GAME's site it lists everything except the All Roads graphic novel, is this not a part of the CE in the United Kingdom or this simply a mistake on their (GAME's) part?

Cheers...

I just pre-ordered the CE from Amazon yesterday. I have it set up for Release Day Delivery (only about $6 in shipping for that!!!)

I was not sure if I was going to have Release Day Delivery or not, as I thought it might be $20 or $30, but for about the same price as normal UPS Ground, they are going to get it to me the day it comes out. It will be waiting for me on my porch when I get home from work on the 19th. Wagging it's tail I would imagine.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition at Amazon with release date delivery. I didn't get into Fallout 3 until the Game of the Year edition came out, so I'm glad I get to pre-order this time and get some neat stuff.

Not yet either, I'm waiting for my Sister to clear her credit card first lol, but it'll be from Play with the Caravan Pack, that Shotgun is as you know, well any shotgun really, mostly mainstay in some games and can always be relied upon for the damage infliction when required in a sticky situation :)

Pre-ordered from Best Buy today. I was debating between Wal-Mart for the caravan pack and Best Buy for the free coasters, lol. But it seems Wal-Mart's sold out on the PC CE so had no choice. I'm hoping they eventually make the pre-order bonus stuff available as DLC or something.

I have the Regular Edition pre-ordered @ Gamestop for $5.00 down/in-store pickup for the Classic Pack for the PS3. I'll pay the balance on launch day.
I got the Collector's Edition pre-ordered @ Walmart.com because I need the 2nd disc to use in the PS3 when I visit my mom's place. That's all paid for with $0.97 same day delivery. Getting the Caravan Pack as a bonus.
I got the K-Mart "pre-order" coasters for $5.00, though I don't intend on using the $15 coupon to actually buy the game since I'll already have 2 discs. I just got it for the coasters basically... =p

I won't pre-order, I'm just going to the nearest EB Games and buy the game and if there's still any CE left, I'll take one.

I wonder if the pre-order exclusive bonuses aren't even really that exclusive. From what I've seen it looks like they are the same as regular weapons/armor in the game but just with better stats - except maybe for the Vault 13 suit.
