So who pre-ordered?

Post » Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:56 pm

I wonder if the pre-order exclusive bonuses aren't even really that exclusive. From what I've seen it looks like they are the same as regular weapons/armor in the game but just with better stats - except maybe for the Vault 13 suit.

You hit the nail on the head.

No, all the armours +weapons are UNIQUE. The V13 canteen is also unique. Everything else in the packages are not unique.

My Best Buy just got the preorders in store today, so I preordered the PC collector's edition. It also came with 4 Fallout: New Vegas Coasters and 500 reward zone points (that enough for a $10 certificate). Pretty stoked!

Collectors Edition and Collectors Edition Strategy Guide from Gamestop. Because GS is the default place where I pre order stuff and I like the Fallout 1 "Vault Dweller" Vault 13 armored jumpsuit. :tops:

I pre-ordered the classic pack from gamestop. Only because i figured the refillable canteen would be the most helpful pre-order item to keep me alive in hardcoe mode.

is it refillable? I hope it is or i lament getting the classic pack, sigh.

No, all the armours +weapons are UNIQUE. The V13 canteen is also unique. Everything else in the packages are not unique.

I bet anything that all these "unique" items from "exclusive" pre-orders are available in any copy of the game by using a simple console command, at least on PC. I wouldn't get too worked up over the specific packages.

I pre-ordered on Steam, mainly because I figured if authentication and DLC are going to be handled through Steamworks, I may as well get the entire game from them and simplify the process. Of course, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little swayed by the promise of binoculars.

Preordered CE from Gamestop, with that promo where you get it for the same price if you pre-ordered.

The pre-order packs work like DLC. You enter your code and it downloads the content, so the pre-order items are not going to be obtainable using the console commands (unless you have a code for all of the pre-order packs).
