So who pre-ordered?

Post » Tue Sep 07, 2010 8:24 pm

So I wasn't that excited about New Vegas (don't play much video games) even though I loved FO3, but then my friend who's a big fan made me pre-order it; so I ended up pre-ordering a collector's edition (first time I've ever done that) from EB Games and now I'm suddenly excited about the game. The Classic pack it offers isn't the best one IMO, but it's still cool.

So who here pre-ordered and from where?

I've got a Steam Pre-order! :D

The bonus did not affect my choice in any way. If I absolutely must have that Vault 13 flask I can just pop open the devconsole and use player.additem to give myself one. I got the Steam pre-order for the convenience, and for the fact that I don't have to spend 6 gallons of gasoline to buy it and another 6 to pick it up. Also, Steam is on PC, and I play all games on PC if I can.

I ordered my Collectors Edition from Amazon with release day delivery. I didn't find any of the bonus content from any store to be "amazing", so I just stuck with my usual provider. :tops:

Gamestop is where I preorder my games by default, so by default I'm getting the classic pack.

One more pre-order thread can't hurt... Same pre-order here too, and I feel the Fallout Series deserves $20 of my extra dollars for the deluxe Collectors Edition. Should be great and looking forward to the extras. Hopefully the DVD is at least 40 minutes... The Classic pack is more about nostalgia I'm guessing, than actually giving the player an edge in the game.

Personally I pre-ordered from GAME because it was the only one available to me. Bonus though as I used the credit from my GAME card to get £10 off... woo! :celebration:

Haven't pre-ordered yet, too lazy to go to the store. Will definitely pre-order the CE for the PC at GameStop.

Well after reading BethBlog the other week that detailed pre-order packs and CE for Europe. I decided to pre-order from GAME (as the blog said it offered the "Classic" pack)

However, on the GAME website the Classic pack isn't mentioned at all, I emailed them, and received this reply:

Hi ,

Thank you for your email.
I have spoken to our team and as yet there are no plans to stock this promotion. However this may change and as soon as we have more information we will update our website.

If you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
The Team at GAME

Which strikes me as a bit odd, any one know any more?

Many thanks.

You shop at Wal-Mart? I honestly feel sorry for you.

I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition from GameStop for XBOX 360 since it's only $20 more including tax compared to the release version. I figure when the eventual Game of the Year is released (knowing Bethesda they've been making ones for Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3) I'll be selling the game in the Collector's Edition and placing the eventual GotYE in there.
I trust Obsidion, especially with people who made the previous Fallout games, to make it harken back to the previous titles.
Is there a reason why The Courier has the Armourised Vault 13 suit instead of The Chosen One's ancestor? I know one of the devs worked on Fallout 2. Yes I own the Fallout Trilogy for PC DVD-ROM and I don't give a care about the "court" "expletive deleted" between the companies.
Bethesda won't even offer a retail and physical re-release of Arena and Daggerfall to work on XP/Vista/7 so why should I complain? Why wasn't Obsidians logo on the poster at GameStop? Just Bethesda's logo is. Nice going for marketing fellas. I hope the actual retail cover will also have Obsidians logo on it.
No I won't ask Bethesda about the previous Fallout games though.

Collectors for me from gamestop because I usally always pre-order from them.
Regular edition as a gift for my bro from Wal-Mart... though, I'm going to keep the code for the pack.

As for the person who said he's just going to .additem the canteen. My understanding is that you use the code to DL the packs... which means that the vault 13 canteen won't be in the game. There will be other canteens in the game, however, as only the weapon and armor from the differant packs will be unique.

I also have to have it day of although I won't be able to play it til that night because I can't wait til it ships. I'll literally die. :fallout: I got the collector's edition for pc and the collector's edition book.
