Is there a specific salesman int he game who sells you good bows and arrows?

Pretty sure that Wood Elf at the "Drunken Hunstman" or whatever sells that stuff. Pretty much the first building you see after entering Whiterun IIRC.

i think there is a guy across from the blacksmith in whiterun who sells bows and arrows

and i think there is a guy in solitude up by the blacksmith that also sells bows and arrows (not sure on this one tho)

There's a Fletcher shop in Solitude across from the Blacksmith.

Whiterun's first shop you'll see when you enter the down. The one on the tiny hill.

There is a store in Solitude that specializes in bows and arrows. It has "Fletcher" in the name, I think. Check it out if you need to stock up.

In Solitude you can get an infinite amount of Steel Arrows free. Collect the arrows from the targets that the legion trainees are shooting at. It's near the Imperial HQ where Tullius and Rikke are. Very useful for early on in the game, and for general moneymaking, since you can easily get hundreds of arrows from the target if you do it for a little while.
