Hi, I'm in a bit of a tough situation... I am doing the Boethiah's Calling quest and I am not sure what follower to sacrifice. Lydia's death was so depressing.... anyways, any recommendations for someone to sacrifice? I am looking for a rude follower who I won't feel as guilty about killing and only have the College of Winterhold followers and random mercenaries in the bars to choose from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cosnach, if you REALLY want to go through with the quest.

He's the crate-carrier in Markarth. If you beat him in a brawl, he becomes a follower.

Brotherhood Initiate, maybe? Dispensable worms...

Or a sweetroll.

I used roggi from kynesgrove. He was the closest follower to the shrine.

Only in a certain quest, in which you choose a follower to kill. Lydia, and nearly every other follower, can be killed in combat, or in this quest. Most aren't invincible (except essentials, like Farkas, Aela, Mercer, etc.)

But I agree, this should have been posted in the spoilers section.

it can be any follower because you command them to sit on the table or whatever and kill them.

It's not really a spoiler. Any non-essential character can die. It's not scripted.

The way it was written before he edited it - made it seem like it was part of the story. I don't know how it would have been in there, unless it was a Main Quest with forced companion, but regardless. I've saved the game, to kill her for her "I'm sworn to carry your burdens" for the 8th time and then load it up after my satisfactory slaughter, so I know she can die - I didn't know if she HAD to die.

I hate "spoiler-free" forums that have spoilers. I didn't know that it was just a combat death, and not part of the story.

I've had far too many games ruined for me on "spoiler free" forums/threads in the last few years (Red Dead, Halo: Reach, L.A. Noire, Gears - all spoiled by tools in spoiler free zones).

Call me anol or "angry guy" all you want - that's fine, but I take "spoiler free" to mean just that.
