So who's taking a day off, calling in sick? skipping class?

Who said we are expecting to solve our life problems based on our video game? LOL

Great, you prefer going outside, social life and peting, good for you. Have fun :D I'm glad to hear that.

Not me. I would very much like to but I've got to work when I can to keep a steady flow of money coming in. Even one day makes a difference.

Maybe for the release but not a Beta, beats the purpose to play and level up just to have you character wiped before release. Not to mention that day you lost at work will add up, and you lose money from lost hours.

well im in college, luckily i have midterms this week so i dont have to worry about that, but i work Friday,Saturday, Sunday every week so i wont be able to play during prime time. For release I wont take any time off but i will try and get ahead of my school work so i can play on the 31st.

skip a day skip a bill, f* that. I'm not that much of a loser I need to skip out on work to play a video game. I'm looking forward to it and all but I love my job.

I am, so I took one day off.

Not really being a loser. More like excited.

Edit: Oh, for beta. Not for beta. I didn't read the OP. I thought this was for launch.

I would never skip work to play a beta because often there are problems with a beta and if one of those problems was an overloaded server I'd have wasted much of a day for not. That said I have taken vacation for a launch before. But now I'd even hold off on that for a couple of weeks post launch so if there was any sort of major problem rearing it's ugly head on a launch day for a game....it would be patched by then.

Good to see folks will take some time off at launch, but not beta... Everyone will do what they want to do... or able to do...

I would rather earn 400 bucks than pay 400 to play computer games for a day.

However I am excited to play :)

I am not skipping a day for the Beta but I plan on doing so for the release. Nothing wrong with taking time off to enjoy the things in live, as long as it doesn't lead to your termination. Granted, I would find a new career if taking a day off would be grounds for dismissal. Plan ahead and take a vacation day.

Friday is my birthday so I will be playing all weekend. Just kinda happened that way. Lucky for me the fiancée will be out of town for work this weekend so she will have to make it up to me next weekend. :D

I too have taken early release week off from work. Hoping I don't have the same release week login issues I experienced with FFXIV ARR....

You still have the whole weekend lol. Currently I'm unemployed and just studying for a lousy 1 exam that will come in 3 months, so plenty of (unwanted) free time.

I get to set my own hours for work (the one perk of being my own boss) , and it is on a weekend when I seldom have much to do so I will be able to play the beta a fair bit.
