So who's taking a day off, calling in sick? skipping class?

Post » Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:18 pm

If I'm allowed to skip the first 3 - 4 hours as stated in the secret beta update, then I'll be playing a decent amount. Unless I get bored...which is a very real possibility. ^^ ;) ;) :)

This month I have Friday's scheduled off (not for gaming purposes though) so I work my 40+ hrs in four days and get Fri-Sun off. Got half a bottle of Maker's Mark that me and the wife will enjoy and get to testing. Last few week-ends have been "movie / date night" week-ends so I get MY week-end once a month!!

At least the two of us are both looking forward to release, I'm sure the dog is not though... we will get many sad faces and guilt-tripped into taking him to the park, rubbing his belly and petting him too :D

I would consider a day off for the beta but most likely won't. But a couple days or maybe the whole week at launch is possible.

For all the responsible advlts out there I have one more week vacation and about to turn over four more weeks with a bunch of paid comp days stacked up and about a month and a half of sick days on the books. So I can still be a responsible advlt and pay the bills while being irresponsible.

For the beta? Hardly worth it. I would have taken launch day off, but as I bought the Imperial digital edition early access starts on a Sunday so I can save my vacation days.

Actually March 31 is the start of the five day early access. March 31 is a Monday. Of course if it starts at midnight EST, it will still be Sunday night in all the time zones behind the east coast to the international date line.

You really should have PTO if you make $50 an hour.

That said, I won't, since launch days are usually too crowded and laggy for me. I might take a day or two after the first couple weeks.

I think it is 30 March, as that is 5 days earlier than 4 April. 31 March would only be 4 days early.

I checked the official FAQ and it does not specify a date, it only says 5 days early.

It may be open to everyone and their brother but it is still an incomplete game and those in it are meant to do (at this point) little more than break stuff like servers bandwidth ect.

Seems sad to skip work or put te test of your real life on hold to play a beta as the OP asked.

But hey I see MMOs as a hobby not my life.
