So who's taking a day off, calling in sick? skipping class?

Post » Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:35 pm

With the beta this weekend.. I'm just curious who would take a sick day or skip a class to spend several hours to beta test ESO....

if I had class, I sure would not miss it.... and usually try not to have class on fridays if I could avoid it.

So, how many will skip class, or take day off work to beta test ESO? :bonk: :bonk:

If there are no server problems during these stress tests I might take a day during the launch week. Not for a beta though.

I won't have classes on friday because of the brazilian carnaval. But I'll make a family trip early on saturday.

I also have a week holidays booked just after the release.

I work from home so I may accidentally launch ESO before the end of the day.

Never for a beta. That is not smart as betas are not supposed to run smooth after all.

No offense but if you stay home to play a video game, that's sad. But I get home at 2:00 PM on the weekdays so I'd only miss 2 hours of TESO beta. Well, that's if it starts at 12:00 PM EST.

Last beta weekend I cancelled a flight so I can play.

That cancelled flight is this weekend. I could not cancel/delay it any longer. So I got a killer laptop from bestbuy with 15 day return.

Give up Gods! I will play my betas!

I'm a contractor, If I take a day off to play a game...think of it like paying x amount of dollars to sit at home and play said game. Nah :(

@Milvan, why? Because life doesn't revolve around video games. Yeah, they're fun to play but I prefer going outside and keeping a maintained social life and taking care of my pets.

And that's good for you, they enjoy playing computer games which is good for them.

Youre assuming those that are taking off have no social life to maintain. I'm taking off (for launch) because I have a social (RE: evening to early morning) life to maintain. But sit atop your high horse, that works too :-)

@Allumis, well it depends. If they just sit around like the typical MMO player, morbidly obese and a pizza face, that is kind of hurting them. Staying healthy is half the battle. I'm not trying to judge people but that is the typical MMO player, especially according to South Park.

Nope. I would never book time off to play a beta.

I did book off the early access though!

Never does well to stereotype. If that's the life style they wish then let them live it.

Too many people are quick to judge other peoples lifestyles by their own standards and commitments but were all different and that's what always makes MMOs so much fun to play.

For the beta? Nah not worth it. For release? Give me another week and I'll have the time off.
