Who's taking off work for Skyrim?

Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 7:32 am

I don't normally work on friday/saturday, and I took off thursday (to stock up on snack foods and get to the local gamecrazy early for the midnight release) and sunday. So... that's technically 4 days off ^-^

Working on getting promoted right now so taking a day off could be iffy. If possible to preload through Steam and unlock at midnight on Friday morning then I will consider taking just that day off. I haven't taken a full day off since July, I guess I deserve it. :P The real question is how I will be able to avoid my girlfriend for a day or two so I can game to my heart's content.

I only work six months of the year, and November is the start of my six months off, so here comes six months of Skyrim adventures.

Strange how that poll don't have the "1 day" option considering it'll be a midnight release on thursday night ahead of the weekend... Yeah, I'll likely take friday off then spend the (long) weekend.

I've booked no appointments for 11/11/11 =P

Just took the 11th off. Will pick it up at midnight, and play through the weekend, as much as my wife and kids let me.

Being an IT consultant who basically works from home I'll just have to turn off the phone to take off work [and probably lose a few customers]. Yes, I'm a lucky bastard and you should all envy me to death.

Those days I take off could pay for the game itself. I can resist.

No, I want to love Skyrim, but I love making money so much more. Pays bills, food, etc.

I'll only skip 11-11, I'm afraid. I'm planning it to be 100% job-free :)

Sadly, I fear that I'll have to take care of my nephews that day for the midday break (they always come on Fridays..)...and they'll insist on occupying my PC :( So I'm afraid I won't be able to fully enjoy the game until 3PM or so, when they leave back to school and all dishes are cleaned.

Luckily, I get the day off from school when it comes out so I'll wake up early, go pick it up, play for the majority of the day and then get ready and have a good time at my cousins wedding. Then I'll probably come home and play some more late at night :P.

Scheduled a week off a few weeks back.

All I need for Skyrim is plenty of TP and Dominos on speed dial.
