Who wants to see Vivec make a comeback?

Post » Sun May 01, 2011 10:23 pm

Both, its a play on words and a nod to the theory that Sil could have uploaded himself into his Clockwork City, afterall his body was pretty much 'plugged in' to its main console...

And didn't seem to care that Alamenxia was stabbing him to death.

I didn't really like Vivec very much. Those tribunal guys were jerks!

Now, this begs the questions, will Sotha Sil appear in the form of a giant computer with a face, or http://southparkstudios.mtvnimages.com/images/shows/southpark/vertical_video/import/season_05/sp_0504_14_v6.jpg?width=480?

Or a male version of http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/downloads/1/17/16313/thumb_620x2000/SHODAN_hires.jpg

I think it'd be nice to see references from all past elderscrolls games in the next one.

Yeah, would be nice to find an old story teller who knows something about everything. Maybe just vague little references, or not-quite-right 'facts' you would know to correct if you've played the games. There has been hundreds of years, after all, memories fade and vocal lore and legends get twisted.

Also, I would like people to contradict each others, that's what happens in real life. People's opinions affecting the 'facts' they tell you. Nicely done in the Price of Neutrality adventure of The Witcher Enhanced Edition: you had abolutely no idea which side was telling the truth, or was closer to the truth. And following your gut-feeling hardly led to a happy ending. Lovely game design, just lovely.

Fact: Vivec is being nibbled on by Scamps as we speak.

While it would be interesting it is very unlikely to happen, besides Uriel Septim, Maiq, Ocato and Mannimarco, almost every character from previous TES games is likely to be cut-off, it's sort of the whole "dont leave any trace of the last TES hero" theme that the TES games are famous for.

Ocato's a really diverse character. Over the years we've seen him in such crucial roles as holding a light, writing a letter, and sitting in an empty room. He rose to the position of Imperial Battlemage due to his repeated failure to trap Uriel in Oblivion, failure of which is now a requirement for the job.

He had a sweet-looking goatee though, so he was holding that light in style. :P

I had a scamp nibble on me last weekend. She was drunk and in a state of undress. She left a cold kiss in my neck and said bye.

Since when did Chancellor Ocato try to trap Emperor Uriel in Oblivion?

Well, that is the weirdest code ever. Going solely on what's visible on your post and not in it, at least Vivec's enjoying himself. Or dead. Rule of Cool would say he's

Leech vs. Reborn Hero? Hmm, I'd bet on the hero.

Depends on your perspective. If you hold the themes embraced in Vehk's Teachings, The Loveletter, and the Trial of Vivec as true, then Vivec is beyond such petty concerns as death, dying, or ceasing to exist. Or even being compared to his Hortator. For if we assume those themes to be true, then how can Vivec be compared to himself?

It would be nice for something like Vivec's diary to show up in TES V as a summary of the storyline of Morrowind (Without describing the Nevarines race, gender, or prefered skills) It could give us a little insight into Vivec's daily life, and It is feasable (The warp in the west, anyone?)

    25th Sun's Dawn - 3E 426
Sat in my palace, stared at the door.
    1st Mid Year - 3E 426
Sat in my palace, still staring at the door. Beginning to regret using Velothi decorators. [Note: Kill all Velothi decorators next time I leave the palace].
    5th Frostfall - 3E 426
Divined that there are no Velothi decorators left in Morrowind. Stared at the door some more.
    12th Evening Star - 3E 426
Beginning to believe that the door is a figment of my imagination. Wondering why the priests never come and visit me. I am their god right? [Note: Remember to check and make sure I gave the priests a key to my palace].
    24th Morning Star - 3E 427
Got lonely, summoned a golden saint and a spriggan. Got a dreamsleeve transmission from Alma right afterwards, "You had your chance [censored], you chose to go all orgy-style with Sil".
    3rd First Seed - 3E 427
Sat in my palace, stared at the door. Beginning to think this whole palace is just a figment as well. Seriously, who would actually design a palace with just one room? There's not even a chair...
    13th Mid Year - 3E 427
The door opened!!! Some person claiming to be Nerevar came in asking about a fellow by the name of 'Dagoth Ur'. Must be a foreigner, Dagoth Ur is a mountain fool! Everything must be false, I killed Nerevar years ago (and stole his woman! cha-ching!); gave the figment some rusty old glove so that he'd go away. [Note: Remember to put better lock on door, Nerevar-ish was lucky I had my loincloth on]
    20th Last Seed - 3E 427
Crossed my eyes and it looked like there were TWO doors, coolest thing ever. Gave me an epiphany, I ARE ALL WE, it's better than skooma. Gonna use it to get back at that crazy wench Azura for turning me half blue.
    10th Sun's Dusk - 3E 427
The door is gone. Don't think I'm in Mundus anymore. Forgot to leave a note, hope the Armigers don't worry about me too much...

I think it would be fun with Vivec again. Just with some other animation, but that will come naturally.

Vivec no longer serves a purpose in the day to day mortal lives of Tamriel. It's unlikely we'll ever be seeing him again.

None of the Tribunal will likely ever step foot physically on Nirn again.

Almalexia's body was crushed. Her soul was either trapped in Azura's Star or sent spiraling into the Dream Sleeve to be recycled.

Sotha Sil is possibly dead, and possibly uploaded into his computer mainframe.

Vivec..... he travels the Walking Ways. Strange for one with no feet.

However, if Vivec did make an appearance, I demand he descends from the sky, playing a ripping a fat lute solo, while riding on a winged three legged guar. That'd be awesome.
