Hello girls and boys, I'm running out of "models" to create heads out of for Skyrim and so thought I'd offer the community a chance to appear on the snowy wasteland. All you need is a digital camera, if the photos are taken right the results will be totally uncanny.

Do you need angled shots or just a front view?

I do believe its best with front and sides. But you can still get decent results with just the front view.

I'm sticking my grill here.

I'll post some pictures eventually. I think my look rather befits a Nord. Now I just gotta find my camera... It's here somewhere. <_<

Yes with only a front photo it'll only look like you from the front obviously, if you're a bit flash you can even go for three photos(I did), in case you wanna capture that special mole or scar or sommink. http://www.facegen.com/modeller31_help.htm#photofit are the important guidelines.

I'm not sure actually, but unless it's a relatively big picture and you've got a scanner it probably won't come out terribly well. And then there's the side shot needed, unless you're alright with that. If you've got two houses thou surely you can afford two cameras?

btw, cant people complain if there head is used somewhere they dont want it to be used? say u use enzo's head for a hoker? (forgive me enzo) have you ran this through with lestat?

No, if you post your mug up here you forfeit your rights to said imagery to the use of this project. If you do not agree to these terms do not post your mug. That is a simple agreement if you cannot agree to those terms do not post your mug, but I can assure you, as this is in plain writing that you will not have any grounds to complain since these guidelines have been posted. Unless Lestat DeLioncourt comes in and says otherwise, that is how it shall be.

And I have just laid out my rights of usage. Anybody else who would want to control how their likeness is used would just need to outline that along with their pics - it would be no different from releasing a modding resource. You would have to abide by the owner's usage terms as that would override any general blanket terms. Granted anyone not concerned with keeping control of their rights to such material would obviously end up having to abide by your terms.

It's unfortunate if you won't respect contributors assets and any wishes as to how they would want their likeness utilized, given that it's customary and respectful in this modding community to follow the resource originator's rights of usage.

it agree with samir, we cant make different rules for different heads, we'd have to write it all down, make sure everyone know what we can use and where. just absolutely inconvenient. skyrim needs head's we dont need people who want to be seen it just to show off, that's useless, whats the point of making heads if we can only use them fitting to the rules? we need heads to go on npc's at bulk, not:


"right guys, here's techy's head u can only use it in the reach in houses, there can be no magical things in the room, there can be nothing demonic, there can be no quests involving his head and the NPC it's used on... blah blah blah"

people have to agree to skyrims rules nt the other way round, thats how i see it.

ok, I'm back after a short forum break because of the birth of my son.

I've read this thread and I have no problem with it in general...Fact is we need faces, but unfortunally we can't promise to use every face of everyone who is interested... the faces have to match nords, bretons, redguards and imperials, also it isn't very helpful to have all faces the same (similar) age...characteristic faces from different aged people would be perfect. We have to make a selection anyway, but this selection have to be made not public, otherwise people who's faces will not be used feel offended and this should not happen.

I'm not sure if everybody who is interested want's to post his face in this thread, maybe PM would be better for some people who didn't want to step into the public

I agree with Wollie's and Samir's statements and the terms of use Samir wrote seem good to me.

I'll watch this thread with interest...we will see how this thread continue's. Btw. It's an interesting idea
