Sure, why not? The reduced backwards running speed might make them less prone to exploits. My most recent Morrowind char is an Argonian spearman, and he is at least as good in combat as my Nord warrior was.

Yeah spears, halberds, even bring back throwing knives...(sword in one hand and throwing knife in the other) BA....bring in throwing axes, too

Spears are already in the game. But they are are all hidden deep inside High Hrothgar and guarded by the Lusty Argonian Maid

I don't think there will be. There are only 18 skills, 3 less than Oblivion, which is quite a lack of variety.

YES, I like spears.

My current Morrowind character uses spears only. Bitter Merci and one I enchanted myself that heals me with every thrust.

Although I play a mage and will likely never use a spear, I think spears should be included for the players that want them. Also i collect weapons and it will add to my clutter xD

Hopefully there will be one handed spears so my character will finally act as designed, spear in one hand with magic in the other.
