Sounds pretty awesome to me... would be cool if you could travel back in time to stop the Oil Rig from being destroyed and then side with the Enclave to restore America to it's former glory.

Not really. It could be cool if it was done right (as in through the Memory Den), but I'd rather see more content in the present day of Fallout 4.
Didn't I just read this thread yesterday?
And the day before?
I know I read it last year.
The answer is still the same: NO! NO! NO! Time travel svcks as a story mechanic.
I want to go back before the war and reassign myself to vault 81.

^ This is way better than "Time Travel"
Time Travel concept requires a great story writing and telling. Otherwise it'll be in the same puddle alongside lame zombie and alien story.
But there would be. they're just called lawyers and bankers
So, no time travel stuff for me. I wouldn't mind the odd quest where you interact with a time traveler though, preferably some mysterious figure that briefly appear in front of you from time to time and you don't know what is going on until you investigate. Mystery based quest involving plenty of goosebumps
If anything, slightly back in time when radiation was a much bigger threat. I find even glowing sea very tolerable wrt radiation for a mid level (50'ish) low endurance character using nothing but radx, on survival.
No actual time travel. It could destroy the very fabric of reality, man!
The closest I see, like others, is the Memory Den option. But, with the memories available to them, I'm not sure how far into the past you'd really be able to go. And if the did have pre-war memories. I'm not sure there would be any conflict there. But who knows.
