WHO WANTS TOO SEE SOME TIME TRAVEL DLC

Post » Wed Jan 27, 2016 8:28 am

Just out of curiosity, I wonder how many other people would want too see dlc where you travel back in time too old boston or something. Being the commonwealth, the idea of advanced technology that can enable you too travel time isn't far fetched. I'd like too know your opinions and or ideas.

I've thought about it, and I think it would be great as a stand-alone. It's far too ambitious for a DLC.

I'd want a big bustling city though, with multiple forms of transportation including drivable vehicles. Think Fallout meets Bladerunner meets GTA. A man can dream...

NO! No no no no no no no no NO!!! Time travel bad. Time travel always has massive logic holes that ruin quest lines. NO!

I can't support the rebel mages Dragon Age Inquisition because of a time travel plot line.

Only if it involves using the memory loungers in The Memory Den.

I'm all for a DLC that allows us to experience the pre-war world, but only as an Operation Anchorage type scenario.

Edit:

Spoiler
Maybe go help the original Nick Valentine back in the day. Solve some pre-war detective cases or similar.

I'm saying you wouldn't be able too travel time freely. It would only be a one or two time thing. You wouldn't be able too roam freely around the city also, it would be more of a guided path since its a quest. I would just like too see prewar downtown boston.

Personally I'd like to play a fallout where you start off as a survivor of the blasts living in aftermath, not 200 years later.

Meh. Did that already with Alaska in F3.

Frankly, without the conflict, it would just be wandering around Boston with extra tech.

Doesn't really interest me.

I can see why others might enjoy it though.

Not really. Reliving old memories in the Memory Den, now that's another story.

I DON'T KNOW BUT IF YOU KEEP YELLING AT ME LIKE THAT, IT'S GOING TO START HURTING MY FEELINGS.

But, on the topic at hand, no to time travel. Visiting the past can be done through simulators. Which we don't need happening in every game.

So we can go back in time but not prevent the Great War or nuclear annihilation? I'll pass. Not only does it create massive plot holes and invalidate the series, but it won't be done well and the idea itself isn't attractive to me personally.

As for aliens.. My god what is with the obsession with moving further and further away from Fallout. Aliens have no place in Fallout besides Easter eggs and I ain't even going to explain why anymore since that horse is nothing more than a bloody mess at this point.

Fallout is based on 50's sci fi. Aliens are featured in every fallout game. Get over it.

reminds me of an old TV show I once saw - exactly the same topic, a time traveler wanted to prevent a nuclear war from happening - to bad for him it turned out in the end that exactly his time travel was the trigger ( enemies thought the time machine was developed as a war weapon )...

I think plot ( logic ) holes can be avoided if the time travel don't change anything - but then, what the point of the time travel then ?

I think a different game might benefit from something like this, but not fallout... Basically the pre war time could be spent preventing the war, while you gotta use both worlds to navigate and get to where you need to go. One pre war one post war. But I think time travel would rather svck in this game

Not me. At best it's a throw off DLC that adds nothing to the commonwealth, at worst its Call of Duty: Advanced Warrior Fallout Edition that adds nothing to the commonwealth and is a throw off DLC.

Time travel back to the pre war times? What would we do? Become stock brokers? If theres no raiders or mutated animals and just people in a city wouldnt the game just be gta?
