Who was the most powerful tribunal god?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 6:11 am

If the tribunals fought each other in their prime, who would be the best out of them 3? using Pre-Chim Vivec for this thread.

ALMSIVI was the most powerful.

ALMSIVI was the most powerful.

This as well. Though in hindsight it's easy to see them as distinct, they drew their power from the same source, and presented themselves as aspects.

http://uesp.net/wiki/Tribunal:Almalexia. At least according to http://uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Vivec_%28god%29.

Assuming of course that she actually fought Sotha Sil instead of just killing him from a distance. Her resistances are awesome though.

In all seriousness, the second Vivec achieved CHIM he became the most powerful, before that moment I would have put my money on Sotha Sil.

Though it is difficult to compare Almalexia and Sotha Sil to Vivec because they rarely did anything. Vivec was ALMSIVI's doer.

Dagoth Ur, if he counts. Neither CHIM nor knowledge of how to create cyborg beasts nor Hopesfire was enough to stop him.

Though the tribunal defeated him on a regular basis until he won an ambush and stole the tools.

Pretty much whoever has the tools wins. This is why the Nerevarine beat Vivec and Almalexia *shiftily looks left then right then back left.*

I think the only difference the tools made was that by the time the Tribunal realized they were the only way to make Dagoth Ur stay dead, they could no longer do it. What I suspect tipped the balance of power was that Dagoth Ur continued to grow more and more powerful as time went on.

I refuse to believe in CHIM (Where the heck does that come from, anyway?)

Almalexia's the most powerful - The game proves it.

It's mentioned in both the Sermons and the Commentaries, I believe. Mankar says Tiber Septim also had it, and used it to reshape Cyrodiil (hence why it's not a jungle anymore). His reshaping of Cyrodiil is also mentioned by the hammy Talos preacher in Whiterun.

In the days when I spoke to him, Vehk said Almalexia.

But it's almost a meaningless question, since none of them could be without the others.

Saying you refuse to believe in CHIM is like saying you refuse to believe you exist. It's a null-statement.

The game's balancing isn't really lore, especially when you consider that you're balancing between the main game and an expansion intended for highter-level players. There's creatures in Blood Moon which are almost as powerful as Vivec, iirc.

As far as I can remember, Alm was the most powerful. The reasons why are harder to attest to, but the question was for a three-way brawl at their prime, and Mercy was the Warrior from the classic Warrior, Mage, Thief trio. One argument might be that Almalexia was the most loved by her people, and it was their love that powered her, also she just happened to be the greatest warrior of the three.

The Oblivion version of Mannimarco.
In all seriousness, I think Vivec.

The fact it took three of them to take on one of him proves he was the most powerful.

He is also waging a war on the Tribunal without any real support in Morrowind.

I agree that Dagoth Ur was the most powerful, but to beaten by three means nothing. If I get beaten up by a group of 3 professional boxers then it doesn't prove that I could pose a challenge to one of them. Not even if I later on, together with a far larger group manage to ambush them.

Disregarding CHIM, I dunno. Each one of them had their strengths.
Vivec is obviously the answer otherwise.
