I will have lots of characters taking many different sides, with preference coming from what the game allows us to do/obtain
I'm not going to build multiple settlements just so I can join some random noobs. I will build an army, and arm my settlers then we shall lead a glorious assault on our foes.
I guess that depends on what's at stake, and where I stand on the politics of it, really. I don't pre-determine who I'm going to side with without knowing what I'm fighting for.
And I'm not so egotistical to raise an army to fight for myself when me, a noob fresh out of a vault, has no idea where he stands.
Railroad...
If it's anything like New Vegas (it most likely won't be, but if it is) the "good" side will be more fleshed out and have more benefits than the "evil" side. Always joined the NCR since if you joined the Legion you made half the damn wasteland your enemy since so many places were in NCR territory.
from what i hear the railroad is not that strong it seems like the insute has more "friends"
True...in lore. Caesar's Legion were also supposed to be more fearsome and powerful than they were in-game though
I generally take the good guy path. If that means I side with one or destroy both, so be it.
Yeah, that was a big problem for me. I tried so many times to make a Legion character but they always felt restricted by the game itself. The bias wasnt even hidden, it was blatant. I will say though that my Frumentarii character became one of my absolute favorites because of how much effort it required
depends on which character i play, My Lawful Evil Character who wants law and order at any cost would probably go insitute, unless they proved themselves like the legion, who were hopeless raiders, if that, then create his OWN army and abosrd them both. My Lawful good BoS character would side probably with the Railroad.
so we all agree we are going on a war path?
I love it how someone calls the rest of the wasteland factions "Random Noobs". Noobs, as in people who don't know what they're doing as opposed to a fish out of water who wasn't raised in the wasteland and it's ways.
If anything, the Lone Survivor is a noob.
I agree. If they were better implemented, there would be more benefits to siding with the Legion. Characters talked about how traders were more comfortable in Legion territory, since they provided better security. It would have been nice if the better merchants were in Legion territory and there were no raiders or large monsters. Their currency was also supposed to be much more valuable and reliable. If they implemented the currency system better, you could use NCR bucks and Denarii as currency instead of an item to sell for caps. There would be an advantage to trading in Denarii.
what should we be talking about? what shade of pink looks good with your gun?
aww come on just thank about fifty shades of he who remains
That's...not really what we're talking about here.
i apoligize that was meant as a response to the other topic i saw your name so i just assumed it didnt post. i didnt read just hit the quote button i meant it as a joke
I voted for "Institute," based on what little I know of them, as they are rumoured to be technologically superior to many groups in the wastes, and I love the idea of working with people capable enough to create androids, however I can't say for certain until I see their portrayal in-game. If they are made out to be a clearly "evil," group that is evil and terrible for the sake of being evil moustache-twirling scientists then I doubt I would be bothered with them.
I'm hoping for the option to nuke everyone LR style.
Knowing what I know now I'll probably be sympathetic to the railroad, but I'll have to wait and see how the sides are presented. Also, I don't usually 'join' a faction. I'll ally with one, or contract a job for one, but I almost never will become a card carrying member.
