Who Will Be On Here?

Post » Mon Feb 22, 2010 6:25 am

I'll wait until I have at least finished the main quest. Which will probably take a while since I love finding all side quests first.

I plan to go to the midnight release, and play till I become too tired (or daybreak), then hit the sack. But I will definitly not come on this or any board. I make it a rule to stop going on forums about two weeks before a game comes out till after I beat the MQ (which is usually one of the last things I do), so I don't see any spoilers, the two weeks before is for those people who get a early copy and then go on to start posting spoilers in topic headers and such.

^^^^^^^^^ This

Except the MQ bit, as thats the first thing I do, Then on my 2nd playthrough, I can slow it down abit and I know where the natural pauses are in the MQ and can focus on exploration at those points.

Then 3rd playthrough usually ignores the MQ

I'll be on in 11-11-11, if I have my new rig (the only thing it could delay having it for that day is certain hardware releasing a bit later than 11-11-11...aka Ivy Bridge :P ).

I tend to play games in short sessions now, usually about one to one and a half hours at a time, so I shall be playing and on the forums. Yes, around release it will be chaotic on the forums but hopefully the mods will be able to get spoilers moved, trolls and spammers reduced to dust and troublemakers sent to one of the Oblivion realms before they ruin too many peoples game.

I will try my hardest to avoid the forums sometime around september or so.(depending how spoilerific this place gets as we approach release) And I wont be back for a couple of months at least. Unless, I have horrible problems like I did with New Vegas, which is literally the reason I started lurking here and eventually created an account. During my trials with New Vegas, Skyrim was announced and Ive been stuck here since. lol

Umm...how will you manage to sleep and play at the same time?

How dare you question his methods!

I really don't know if I will be on the forums, i might be busy killing what i have left of social life.

I will probably be on here off and on, as I don't game all the time, EVEN if its Skyrim. Sometimes I just like to relax and unwind on the forums.

I won't be here. I want to excited, but there are going to be a bunch of disappointed people screaming about how they hate the game, in addition to the excited people. People are likely to post spoilers everywhere, even though they don't belong, and they would probably even do so in thread titles. A bunch of people are likely going to join the forums and do what I've already stated in addition to, unintentionally, slowing down the forums due to an overload of server activity. I feel sorry for the mods.

On 11-11-11 and for some time after, I will not access this site unless I need some tech help for some reason, or to download a patch, etc.

Perhaps in a few weeks, I will revisit, to look at some of your cool screens... :foodndrink:

Now ~6 months to go...

Agreed, but I really, really am dreading the spoilers some idiot will post to ruin it for everyone else

I'm really hoping the mods can control it, which i'm sure they can. I'll probably get on for a little bit, just to join in on the excitement

Unless the game is absolutely horrid and I come here to express my hatred for Skyrim and warn all against purchasing it, I will be playing it for about a week without contacting these forums... I don't want spoilers or anything else that can possibly tarnish my gameplay experience.

No idea, probably going to say: "Now the adventure begins, good luck everyone!" and then be silent for a few weeks.

The truth will dawn in fire, and I won't be here to witness it! I'll be way too busy playing Skyrim to have time to get on these forums...

I will disappear until TES VI is announced.

Nah, jk. I'll come back after I've exhaustively done everything in the game, and I want to discuss something for some reason. As far as game-related stuff goes, though, I'll probably just be hitting up UESP to find anything I missed and/or answers to questions. That's the only practical thing to do, imo.

I mean, why the hell would I want to be on the forum when I could be playing???

I'll be avoiding the forum for a good while

The General Skyrim section will be rammed to the doors with people moaning about what a let down / disappointment / scam / bugfest the game is.

The Tech Help forum will be filled with people saying that their graphic card won't run the game or their computer keeps freezing - doubtless blaming Bethesda for every aspect of the shortcomings of their systems

And of course the spoiler section will be filled with....uhm...spoilers...which I won't want to see

I will only come on here after I have beaten the main quest, for that is the only real spoiler stuff I dont like to be told. But yeah, I am avoiding this place like a plague for a few weeks

Assuming I don't get the game on release (might wait to get it free at xmas :B) I'll probably pop on here to see if anyone has posted screenshots of their created character, and vids of it on youtube of course. :)

All the people who complain about the game will be on here. Myself and many hundreds of thousands will be busy playing the game. Judging by these forums (at release), the game will appear to be an indie game made in the 1980's by one man who is so out of touch with gaming and culture that it is the worst thing ever to happen in the world. There will even be a comparison to DA2.

Nope, I'll be much too busy actually playing the game for the next several days after it comes out, though I'm not a person who minds spoilers, so I'll probably be back here about a week or so after.

I am not worried about spoilers because I will be too busy playing Skyrim to want to be on a forum of any kind. :) It deserves my full attention. I think that these forums have gotten enough attention from me by then.
