Who Will Be On Here?

Post » Mon Feb 22, 2010 8:57 am

Who will be on here, specifically on release day, after the several hours of playing Skyrim? I'll be off on release day so I'll probably go pick it up around the time my GameStop opens. Probably will have the game started up around 10 am and will play until about 5 or 6. Then I'll come on here, see what, or if, you guys have been discussing your experiences in Skyrim so far. Also to see if anyone has recorded some of their own gameplay...I can't wait until this epic day when almost everyone is no longer on this forum!!!

P.S. I just felt like making this thread because there isn't really anymore to talk about other than people's custom ideas.

I'm probably not going to be on for months, primarily because I don't want any spoilers, and I want to play the entire game without help.

I plan to go to the midnight release, and play till I become too tired (or daybreak), then hit the sack. But I will definitly not come on this or any board. I make it a rule to stop going on forums about two weeks before a game comes out till after I beat the MQ (which is usually one of the last things I do), so I don't see any spoilers, the two weeks before is for those people who get a early copy and then go on to start posting spoilers in topic headers and such.

It's called: Being in the zone.

I will play it through at least once, then see what you guys are up to.

I'll stay away for a few days to avoid spoilers and hopefully after the first week all the spoilers in general discussion will be sorted out and people will start to use the "cheats, hints and spoilers" section.

I'd keep the hell out until I beat the game in terms of major quests (mq, guild quests)

I expect I'll be on the PC Tech Help forum - either solving my own problem, and/or helping others who are having difficulty. There are always some who can't get the game to run right away and want assistance. I'll avoid anything spoilery though.

Exactly, I would come on here the moment I got the game, but probably someone would've gotten it before me and said how it ended somehow... So yeah.... I will NOT be coming on here probably until after I feel safe enough (IE beat the MQ and all the guilds, so about 6-12 months... or so) so yeah... Unless the spoilers die down quicker then that (which I hope so... I like being here >_>....) and @povuholo i'll probably avoid it like that too, IE a few days before / or maybe even a week before just to be completely cautious >_>...

did it really take me ten minutes to write a post >_>...

Only if there's a major bug or issue that needs researching.

I won't be here for at least a couple of weeks to avoid spoilers, and I'll probably be too busy playing the game anyway.

I plan to stay away from here, probably starting a few weeks prior to the release, especially if the game gets leaked. It's cool to see some initial reactions, but I'd rather avoid the spoilers.

I will probably be on here for a little bit that evening. I plan to immediately start modding it, and mainly, creating like 1000 tutorials on the new CK as I figure stuff out. But I will also thouroghly enjoy the game like 90% of my waking time.

Much though I'd like to watch the carnage as posters not only trumpet their opinions in oversized, custom-colored all-caps, but by any and every possible application of fallacies, rhetoric and virtual screaming fits, attempt to prove that any differing opinion is as wrong as 2 + 2 = 3,487, and much though I'd enjoy watching the mods handing out warnings and bans like Halloween candy, there's no way I'm coming near this place for a good long while after the game's out. Particularly since there's no way I'm buying it on release day, and when I do buy it depends on when Beth hammers most of the inevitable bugs out of it.

When I do finally buy it, I expect to just sit down and play it. The point following that at which I come back here is going to largely depend on the game. If it's astonishingly good, I might stop by long enough to say so, but I imagine I'd be hard-pressed to stop playing long enough. If, on the other hand, it's teeth-gnashingly horrible, you can be sure I'll turn it off in disgust and this will be the first place I'll go. Though I don't much care for custom colors, oversized fonts or all-caps, so there's that......

I'd prefer not. I can already see it: you log in then BAM OMFG ALDUIN IS ACTUALY GOOD!?!?! And no matter how hard the moderators try, they will not stop the tide of doom spoilers.

There's a few posters here who's opinions matter to me. I'll be looking for their posts in and around launch day before purchasing.
