who will be the next gaenor/adoring fan?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 12:23 pm

obviously it will be a wood elf, but who will it be? i envision him being some companion that you recruit and he never leaves your side and is the only npc that is marked essential. he will start some random conversation at really bad times like when your trying to sneak up behind someone or your trying to access your menus to use a health potion with only a few hitpoints left. when talking with him you will have mega dialogue zoom on his face so that you only see his nose that has a big hairy mole on it. he will giggle alot and tell really bad jokes often times messing them up or over explaining them. he will be equipped with the best armor and weaponry in the game but will have almost zero skill in using them and constantly run in front of your arrows and spells. im so looking forward to see if they can top the annoyocity of gaenor or adoring fan.

I hate Gaenor. Put him back in there, I wanna kill him again. I gave him a million gold, he asked for more, when I had no more left, he got angry. Jerk.

how would we know? we don't even know anyone that lives during the 200th year of the 4th era other than maybe M'aiq the Liar. But M'aiq is M'aiq, so he won't be the next anyone except the next M'aiq, which is actually the same M'aiq as before.

I liked Gaenor. I didn't really see him as annoying - he was one of the few enemies that were really difficult to beat, even at higher levels. I'd like to see more characters that are a bit of a challenge...

Do...do they follow you around?

*The creatures seem to recognize you, almost like you've fought them before, in another life, perhaps.*

/shudder :shakehead: I feel bad for even joking about it.

This gave me an idea.
the only thing worse than an adoring fan is... TWO adoring fans

they should be something like these guys:

I'd rather have something like Gaenor than Adoring fan, Gaenor was actually annoying in a partly fun way, and he was a nice challenge.

But I really hope they make the bosmers more serious and close to the lore.

Hopefully they'll retain the Annoying Fan's groovy hairdo. Even if it's on a cliff-racer.

I think it should be squeekers1234 as he is obviously the most really devoted fan that Bethesda has. In addition, this will provide a nice reference to the forums and the company. It will keep the plebs happy as more and more superfluous features are removed in exchange for cinematics and quick time events.

With any luck, it'll be nobody, or at the very least, somebody other than a Bosmer. That joke's old and tired.

If we're going to see any revisits to old TES jokes, particularly since it's in Skyrim, I'd rather see a naked Nord who got on the bad side of a witch. Didn't have any of those in Oblivion.....

An annoying little man who wants to make the player piles of disgusting, unappetizing sandwiches that give them negative bonuses if consumed.

How do you pronounce Gaenor?
Is it Guy-norr or Gay-nore?

High Elves (I believe...) live the longest of all the races. Even longer than 400 years, and if they are mages, the sky seems to be the limit.

And in Skyrim I really hope they ease up on the annoying Bosmer characters. I can't even play a Bosmer anymore because I keep thinking of the irritating voices.... etc.

The character Syndrome from Pixar's The Incredibles seems like perfect hybrid of the Adoring Fan and Gaenor, he even has the same haircut.

Well, I don't believe there is any set way to pronounce that or much of anything in Morrowind, since it's all read no listen. I always pronounced it Gay-A-Nore though. Really I don't care who it is that replaces the stereotypical annoying dude, so long as his weapon of choice is a Severed Nord Leg. That would be funny.
