I would prefer some unknowns, but I always liked Jeremy Irons voice for such roles.

A dragon would really need a booming voice personaly

Who do we know who has such a voice? Brian Blessed, it was meant to be.

I almost said Tom Waits, but John Rhys-Davies gets my vote. Mostly because we need a gravely voiced dragon.

Honestly... Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth. :chaos:

That'd be AWESOME!

Mikael's growl would be a great dragon like noise with some effects on it.

HELL YEAH! \m/

Christopher Lee would just make me think of Saruman...

That's got the potential to be great though.

I'm a bit surprised that Sean Connery is currently leading in the votes. Are these people serious?

An unknown actor, because quite frankly, using a famous person doesn't give you any result other than, "We just wasted 10 times the amount of money, when we could of saved a LOT by using this guy, who no one knows who he is, but sounds 100 times better!"

Mostly because everyone knows who it is and of those people some also know he played the dragon in dragonheart and liked him I guess...

He plays Gimli [LoTR] & Salah [Indiana Jones], right? That'd be excellent :D

@fourtrax450, ahh, I haven't seen that film.

I reckon Brian Blessed could be interesting too. Or that homeless guy with the golden voice? Though we don't want Skyrim to sound like radio or Flash Gordon.

Sean Connery of course, Dragonheart was great and it'd be awesome to hear him do it. However he's retired :(.

I voted Peter Jessop, I really liked how Sovereign sounded like!

But in my heart, James Earl Jones will always hold a special place for me! :P

Tough choice between Harbinger guy and Sovereign guy.

I had to pick Harbinger though. Sovereign sounds too robotic.

You basically doomed any sliver of a chance that this poll's results would be accurate once you added Sean Connery. :P

John Rhys-Davies would be interesting to hear somewhere in the game, not necessarily as a dragon but some other notable NPC. I've always enjoyed his calculating, gravelly voice - and from the dialog he provided in Quest for Glory, I think he could fit in well with the atmosphere of the game.

What about Frank Welker? Hes voiced tons of excellent villains throughtout his career like Megatron from Transformers or Dr.Claw from Inspector Gadget.

The Dagoth Ur/Vivec voice actor.

Yes, Incarnate. I am V'vek, and I can answer - all your questions.

It's in the sound files of vanilla Morrowind. His voice simply wasn't active in the game.

A dragon's voice should be akin to a chorus, perhaps a flock of crows. Many spirits share a circuit, or identity, with the body, and they speak at once, in power.

That's all I have to think of concerning dragon voices. We'll hear.
