Who would survive longest in the Courier's shoes?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 7:11 pm

I think http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110111211422/fallout/images/9/93/Sierra_Madre_celebrities.jpg is a good ref pic.

Alright thanks, if I survive long enough to make it into OWB I'll get cosmetic surgery and go from there.

But similar to your question, does any one know the facial stats for Domino in case this doesn't work out?

Died at level 13. It looks like I forgot the training from D.C. though, to watch the hell out for explosive cars.

I'll stay out for now, would not feel right re-entering after dieing. Would feel like having an upper hand.

I'll take Tycho. As long as no one else has taken him.

I marked you down for Typco Tycho.

I guess i'll take Vulpes Inculta. He's sorta weak and i'm always looking for a challenge. Plus i'm a huge fan of the Legion.

Sounds good, I marked you down for Vulpes.

So....Tandi in New Vegas? I think I might enjoy this! This will be a difficult role play. Sign me up! I promise to be totally NCR for the whole play through!

Wow. You did a wonderful job on your Caesar. I must say I'm jealous! This is beautiful, I'm in freaking awe. I hope to make my pathetic little Tandi as well as you made your glorious Caesar. I'm happy you took him over, you're an excellen Role Player!

Awww, thanks, if you want me to post the facial stats I will. And are you sure you can stay NCR for the whole play through? I mean I'm not even a Legion fan and I had a hard time putting up with the NCR (mostly Colonel Moore) when I did a play through for them.

Is anyone able to give me the exact facial stats of Benny? Because I might do a Benny playthrough.

I'll have them posted in the next hour or so.

That's very impressive, my Domino isn't nearly as good as that, but to be fair, all I had to go by was a tiny photo of him on a pre-war poster (and the hologram in the sierra madre).
I would post a pic but I don't have the means to do so, if anyone want's to know what he looks like, select caucasian preset 9 on the character creation screen, make his hair black, make his skin lighter, and give him a lady's man mustache (or whatever mustache looks best).

I think the most difficult part of playing as Dean Domino will be going through Dead Money. That DLC is a dead is dead nightmare.

@Muggy - I understand, but if a lot of time passes and a character still isn't taken then feel free to take them.

@Papafern - Sorry,http://steamcommunity.com/id/tycho808/screenshot/506890852497535538/?. But if you want to take Aurelius of Phoenix here are his stats:

Aurelius of Phoenix
Spoiler

SPECIAL: 7 ST, 6 PE, 7 EN, 4 CH, 4 IN, 6 AG, 6 LK
Tag Skills: Melee Weapons, Guns, Unarmed

Actually I want Vulpes I never noticed his name was on that list. Lovely innocent Vulpes
Nobody better have taken him :stare:

How dare you all post before me because I off this on weekends!!

Aw [censored] it I'll take Phoenix
His stats actually suit my Marc Antony playthrough so this should hopefully go as well as that character did

NCR is going to be a difficult playthrough. Seeing the revamped NCR through Tandi's eyes makes me want to go indie. I don't think she would approve of the way the NCR is going. I'll try to stay NCR as long as I can, but I don't know that her personality would allow it.

I also had to change Tandi's starting stats from what was originally posted. It's now S: 3 P:5 E:5 C:8 I:6 A:6 L:8 My first perk was intense training and I put 1 point into Luck (otherwise luck would have been 7). For Tandi I gave her the good natured perk as well as Wild Wasteland.

So far our little nation builder so far has led the defense of Goodsprings using her skills in speech and barter as well as her raw charisma. She allowed the people of Goodsprings to partake in their own victory. After her aid of Goodsprings she moved on to the mojave outpost without having a single confrontation, and has mostly ran away from any raiders, Powder Gangers and dangerous wild life. Tandi has been disgusted with the leadership of the NCR, and is looking to change it for the better.

Caesar

I marked you down as Phoenix, but if you think of anyone else in the Legion that you would want to play as just let me know and I'll see if I can find their stats.

I don't think she would approve of the current NCR either, but she would probably still support them...but she would definitely try to change them. If you switch to Indy towards the end I think it could still fit with her personality.

The stats you started with look fine, I think she had a total of 46 SPECIAL points or something, so after implants/intense training you can probably get the stats to be exact.

@Martyr - Here are http://steamcommunity.com/id/tycho808/screenshots/ of how to make a character look like Benny. It's still going to look a little different because Benny uses unique facial expressions iirc, and those cannot be replicated during character creation. All the screen shots from today will be of the facial stats, and there are a couple that show the results.

Didn't quite like that Benny, so I took Preset 1 and took some artistic license. (Made him look 'handsome' while still looking, in my opinion anywho, like Benny.)

On PS3, so no SS, but will post updates on Benny as we go along.

Edit: I'm substituting his Unarmed and Melee with Speech and barter. My reasoning is that I feel Speech and Barter would be MUCH more in character with Benny than Melee and Unarmed. That's okay with you right Tycho?

Plot Summary-

Benny, in a bizarre twist of fate, was for some unexplainable reason 'soul swapped' with the Courier he gunned down in Goodsprings the very moment the bullet fired from Maria. The Courier, now in Benny's body, is living the high life in Benny's place at The Tops. Now, Benny seeks righteous vengeance to claim both, his body and his life back and get back to his dream of an Independent Vegas, HIS Vegas.

Traits: Good Natured (I feel Benny's skills would be more passive than combat oriented) and Wild Wasteland (To justify the interesting plot twist).

Story so far: After hoping off the bed, Benny explored Goodsprings, getting his bearings. He looked at himself in the mirror, similiar yet different to his body in all the ways that matter. He got back on his feet with the help of Sunny Smiles, obtained a deck of cards to play Caravan, and has saved a citizen from Geckos. Now, he aims to reach Primm, hoping to catch up to the Courier who stole his life.

Vulpes Inculta, a Frumentarii disguised as a courier, after obtaining a platinum chip to deliver to the Strip, was captured and shot by a man in a checkered suit. After awakening in Goodsprings, he met the locals and decided that the Legion would benefit from taking over this town, so when the town was threatened by Powder Gangers he put together a small force of himself, Sunny Smiles, and Ringo to defend it. Although they were outnumbered, Vulpes led his group to victory using superior tactics. When the Legion conquers the Mojave, Goodsprings will strengthen their forces to make the final push into NCR territory.

Story so far:

After programming Primm Slimm (With a little help from a Issue #057 of Programmers Digest on rebooting Security Protocols) Benny managed to get Primm a new sheriff, and so, with information on The Courier at hand, he travelled south, but fell short when he saw two men, convicts by the look of them, Benny dropped to his stomach and sniped them both with clean headshots from a Varmint Rifle. He got up to the old Sherriffs office to see what he could scavenge, but was molested by a gang of Jackals who'd set an ambush. He managed to dispatch the leader of the group, but the other got a lucky shot on him. Bleeding out, Benny ran behind a car and injected a Stimpak into his hip and let it do his work, drinking a bottle or two of water to rehydrate in the heat of the Mojave setting sun. When he felt well enough, he sprang from cover and fired the junky old Caravan Shotgun he'd gotten in Primm and got a lucky headshot, blowing the last Jackal's head to pieces. With that, Benny slowly approached the doors of the Sheriff's office. Unsure what dangers await him....

Lol, anyways, Tycho only facial feature that I could see was his Blonde Hair. So, that's about the only facial thing I have to worry about.

I think a rough beard would look good, and if you're on PC, maybe a 'raider' body to add to that tough gritty feel he gives off. (To me anyway)

8 ST, 7 PE, 9 EN, 8 CH, 7 IN, 7 AG, 8 LK

Primary leveling skill: Melee Weapons.
Leveling skills: Small Guns, Unarmed, Throwing, Outdoorsman
Animations: knife, sledgehammer, spear, SMG.
HP by level: 85, 93, 103, 113, 123, 134, 146
Starting AP: 9Maximum AP: 13

I'd go with Melee, Small Guns, and Unarmed as his tags. Or Survival, whichever. I think Melee, Guns, and Survival would be an appropriate tag.

I'm thinking Melee, unarmed and survival. Might also drop his intelligence a bit. Only use healing powder to heal? Don't know how long I'll survive though, lol

Mr. House now has the Brotherhood Scribe Veronica as a companion. He knows full well of the destructive routes of this Brotherhood, but this Scribe has proven useful so far as a bodyguard. "Make friends until you're powerful enough to do without them", he thought to himself.

Mr. House has made it to the Strip and seen his real half. Meeting Mr. House disturbed Mr. House greatly, seeing himself on that big screen and the way he treated him. It was as if he was some common courier rather then a genetically identical copy! He decided to do as Mr. House asked and find Benny at the Tops, but before he went to confront Benny he met his right hand man, Swank, and convinced him of Benny's deceit. Swank gave Mr. House back his weapons and said that he'd keep Benny away from his room.

Searching Benny's room, Mr. House discovered a hidden gem. A securitron programmed by a friend of Benny's to take control of New Vegas. After speaking with Yes man, Mr. House went downstairs and confronted Benny. there was obvious surprise on his face and Mr. House managed to convince him to talk privately in the suite. After listening to Benny's plan, Mr. House came up with his own. He fired a clip from his 9mm Pistol he still had from Goodsprings into Benny, ran into the next room and waited for Veronica to finish the job. After it was done Mr. House took the Platinum Chip, Benny's suit and the same pistol that put two bullets into his head. He went outside, showed Yes man the chip and told him of his plan.

The wasteland isn't big enough for two House's.

Tandi has had quite a time trying to survive. She was nearly killed by a Blind Deathclaw and has barely been able to outrun the various raiders. In between her travels, she's been able to tell Vulpes Incluta the error of his ways and spoke with this lovely young lady named Cass about the errors in the NCR. After running into Vulpes, raiders, and deathclaws, Tandi met up with some reetired NCR military in Novac and now has this weirdo with cross eyes following her around for protection.

@Martyr - I'm sure your version of Benny is good...but not as good as mine :disguise:

@Muggy - I added her

@StealthSniper - I added Sulik to the OP.

I'll post an update on Caesar tomorrow, to summarize, I made it to Novac today and stole That Gun. Now I'm headed for the 188.
I'll post a more detailed update tomorrow, including screen shots.

There's alot of truth in that. I have to admit, I nearly lol'd I almost got my butt kicked by Jeanie May. But I reloaded so I wouldnt ruin the quest she's in xD.

Story so far: Benny looped from Primm to the Mojave Outpost to Nipton. There he encountered a man with a dog hood, disgusted, but not wanting to take his chances, he agreed with their 'pure' work and went on to NoVac. On the way to NoVac he was ambushed, but having been on the hill instead of the valley, he killed the two ambushees, sniped the grenadier on the road, and sniped the other who was in the hill across from him. Further down the road to NoVac he was ambushed once more, after having killed these Jackals with ease, he'd found the fresh corpses of dead Legionarres beside them, obviously ambushed by those Jackals he'd killed. He swiftly made his way through NoVac and to Boulder City. There he brokered peace with the Khans and went on made a beeline for Vegas. He soon entered Freeside and is doing some light work for the Followers, though he may have never considered these acts before, now he is doing it for one reason alone: To ensure as many followers when he kills The Courier and takes over Vegas. Benny had to admit, it felt weird to soon kill his original body. But it would be a small price to pay to ensure he had his OWN Vegas. A Vegas where the Chairmen were the bosses.

You can't get it

If you press "getav" on the console it's an error, and it's not on the wiki, so I have to make something up.
