Who would survive longest in the Lone Wanderer's shoes?

Ok first update: Elder Lyons is faring pretty well and Lv 7 currently residing in Rivet City looking for information on James and where he is.

As for everything I did up to that point, I went straight to Megaton after for some reason waking up unconscious outside vault 101, my elder robes gone only to be replaced with a vault jumpsuit. Then after arriving at Megaton he learned from several people that James came and went, after learning this he decided that he needed to regroup with the rest of the Brotherhood, then find James and continue the completion of project purity. But before any of that he needed supplies and after learning from Moira of a super-market nearby with potential supplies, he went for it.

After a near-death experience with a bottle-cap mine and a some lucky shots, he made it out with several weapons that he could put to use. After heading back to Megaton to sell supplies Lyon's continued on after he heard of his daughters squad the Lyon's pride fighting mutants down by GNR. It would have been a good opportunity to figure out what happened while he was gone and it wasn't that far away the Citadel anyways. Then once arriving through the use of metros he met up with the Lyon's pride, cleansed the area of mutants and got the gist of what was going on once he met and got 3-dogs satellite dish repaired. Finally, he proceeded to the Citadel and gained access (through the use of a glitch, mainly just for roleplay reasons), then preceded to gather a few supplies enlist the help of Star Paladin Cross And continue for Rivet City.

I checked the list ,and Autumn isn't taken! If I get the role, I'm definitely looting his *corpse* for his armor, a 10mm pistol and then face myself as a boss and take his laser pistol!

I finished the bos Paladin big guns a little while ago.

Does anyone else hate how when you start up a minigun, the animation stops and no bullets come out?

Hey, can you put Asher from the Pitt in there? I'd love that.

Dr. Li (Leigh?) would be an interesting one as well.

I'll take Dr. Li; I haven't done a science-based character yet, so this should be interesting.

Also, you'll probably want to do Medicine, Energy Weapons, or Speech for the last two.

You know, I just realized that there may be a major problem with roleplaying Dr. Li.

Talking to myself to find out where my dad went just wouldn't make much sense...

Bah, screw it, I'll start the character anyways.

Have you ever, irl, met your double? I did once, about 20ish years ago in Missoula, MT. We stopped, stared at each other, then kept walking. Really, a very surreal experience. Didn't say a word to each other. Very similar to Lucas Symms meeting Lucas Simms last night. After putting our heads together, we HAVE to be related somehow.... Anyway, my Lucas accepted an apprenticeship with him. My Lucas started out by screwing up. He told Burke that Megaton was under his protection.... the OTHER Lucas, my mentor, suggested that in the future, I find out where the trouble is originating from, before kicking the interloper out of Megaton. Doh!

Met Moira, decided to go to the Super Duper.... and then my xbox sensed another DiD play, and all of a sudden there was swirling in the water:

1. Lucas came round the corner of the Super Duper, saw the firefight being waged at the far end of the lot. Heard a familiar, scary sound, and the bus I was standing next to caught fire. The explosion knocked me down, and took half my health.

2. The two eyebots had killed one raider on the far end of the lot, and I tried to help by firing on the raider. Lucas, of course, missed, and hit one of the eyebots instead. The raider and two eyebots then attacked me. Lucas ran screaming into the Super Duper (NOT the stealthy entrance that I had envisioned) and somehow managed to beat down a raider with a baseball bat..... Lucas is in that front room, holding a nearly broken laser pistol, heart pumping fast.

3. Hopefully the raider and eyebots turn their attention on each other, so that when I leave this God-forsaken hell hole, they will not be standing outside waiting for me.

Good times. I'm having a blast. (except for the fact that I have 8 rounds of .556, a baseball bat and a pistol I don't know how to use.) I usually play with an Endurance of 4, so this whole Endurance at 6 feels like I'm living in the lap of luxury! I'd be doing better if it weren't for that damn bus. More this weekend.

I can't really start Dr. Li until I know what skills to tag. :(

Should I just choose the last two?

Decanus Severus here. Encountered my first ( and glitched) ncr hits squad.

For some reason, the ranger actually seemed to have less hit points or something than the one that warns you about crossing the ncr.

Anyways, slaughtered the scum in the atomic wrangler.

Left only a few alive.

I asked someone who has Fallout 3 on PC to find the Tag Skills, but if you want to start right away I would go with Medicine and Repair (the other intelligence based skills). Speech is probably out since Li doesn't seem to get along with other people, and Barter doesn't seem right, nor do any combat skills or sneak, so Science, Medicine, and Repair it is! Unless you have any other suggestions or you want to wait for the actual results from the GECK.

Update:

Level 6 and just a teensy bit until 7. Lucas is generally speaking, a pretty good guy, though he handled the whole Silver incident rather poorly, though no one was around so.... shhhh.
He has finished the first chapter of the Wasteland Survival Guide
He has kicked raider butt in Sprinvale
He has killed his first behemoth
He has cleared a substantial area of Those!
He has survived two Talon attacks.
He is currently at Rivet City, about to take the metro to the Museum of Technology.

Almost died in Minefield, I approached the town from a different direction, got turned around and walked into, you guessed it, a minefield. That was disconcerting. Other than that, we are feeling pretty good, except for that we only have about 30 caps.

up to tycho I guess , but that is along way to restart.
I would think just boosting the explosives skill from now on would be fair enough.

Sorry I missed the message yesterday Tycho.

I wouldn't say you have to restart. IMO energy weapons makes about as much sense as Dr. Li being an expert with explosives, so I'd say you're fine. Also, in the newer Fallout games Tag Skills don't mean as much, so if you just abandon EWs now and put points into Explosives and Repair it really won't matter that you already put points into EWs.

Sorry I missed the message yesterday Tycho.

Don't worry about it, I'm just glad that someone has the PC version and is willing to help me out. And thanks for looking up Li's stats, I never would have guessed that explosives was one of her specialties.

Well, like I said if you want to feel really legitimate than you can just abandon EWs and put all of your points into Explosives and Repair from now on. I don't think restarting is really necessary, I mean that's kind of a long way to restart from, and it's not like you decided to become Dr. Li the professional unarmed fighter with Raider Sadist armor or anything. You just used Energy Weapons for the first few levels, which, to me at least, makes about as much sense as Dr. Li using explosives.

Well I've already got a bunch of points in Repair, so I'll start loading them on to Explosives. I can't believe Explosives is one of her specialties!

It does seem kind of weird...maybe the devs just needed to fill another tag skill slot or something.

I wouldn't think so; you can get pretty much all of the skills to 100 anyways. You can pretty much gain omnipotence if you play your cards right.

On Doctor Li , I wasnt saying she had a tag skill on repair , It just showed 4th highest at 21 pts when everything else besides the tags is 17 or less. Her energy weapons are at 17 being tied for 5th with a few others , if that makes you feel better.

By the way , as a lvl 1 she's showing 500 base health. WoW!!! she's a tough cookie.

Yeah, I thought that one was weird too, I mean how and why would a Khan know how to use Energy Weapons? I thought Unarmed would have made more sense as his third skill, but apparently the devs didn't think so. Maybe they had more of a back story planned for Anders at some point, but ended up abandoning it.

Forth highest is still pretty important, although, as Waymer said, in Fallout 3 all skills will be maxed out or will be close to being maxed out by the end of the game anyways, so I guess in the long run the tagged skills for this challenge only tell you how to play the game like your character would, not necessarily what to put skill points into.

500 HP puts her on par with a deathclaw in terms of health...and that's at level one.

Fast travel is not allowed, is it? Dave from Republic of Dave lives all the way over there. Can I play on normal with FWE installed?

Edit:
Why, oh why, does Dave have only 3 charisma? He is the David Koresh of DC. I will commit to Dave if you allow me to sap from other special's so that his charisma is 10. Yes, specifically for more followers allowed by FWE, played on hard.
