Who would survive longest in the Lone Wanderer's shoes?

Fast travel is not allowed, is it? Dave from Republic of Dave lives all the way over there. Can I play on normal with FWE installed?

Edit:
Why, oh why, does Dave have only 3 charisma? He is the David Koresh of DC. I will commit to Dave if you allow me to sap from other special's so that his charisma is 10.

No fast travel "not allowed" was only on Big daddys self imposed rules.

I normally dont use vats or pipboy pauseing in combat. but you can bet I am for this one.

Playing Three dog I had an odd occurence ... atleast for the amount of time ive played.

I was headin to the super duper, when I ran accross a couple of Mad Brahmin (never seen those before)

Anyways , I had to Vats and get criticals ... but still , with the 10mm , I used a heck of alot of amo to put em down.

But just when the second one was gona go down im guessing. I get a half way CTD (my system almost always runs stable)\

It acted like it wanted to go to window mode , with the window header accross the middle , then I hear "corny in kansas"

Sorry, but for this challenge you have to keep the actual SPECIAL stats given by the game. And going from 3 to 10 is quite a bit, I would allow you to put extra SPECIAL points into charisma (if there are any), like if his SPECIAL points only add up to 34 or something, then you could distribute a few of the extra six into charisma.

Weird, I've never even seen the Mad Brahmin random encounter at the super duper mart, in fact 9 times out of 10 I get the friggin Yao Gui when I go there. I'm with Big Daddy though, go on a Brahmin-tipping spree as an act of revenge.

Also, I'll probably finish my Caesar play-through within the next week, and then I'll probably start a character for this challenge.

Sneak up to it, stay crouched, then use whatever button you use to "activate."

On a sidenote: heading out to find Vault 87.

Ok Tycho:

Officially a BOS Knight.
I was level 15 when we
Spoiler
began the battle and when I woke up in the Citadel
I leveled up to 16.
I'm not sure if I was supposed to do a speed run like your mom, above, but I'm not a grinder.
Just joined the regulators got my new outfit, just need to steal the other Lucas' hat now to complete the outfit.
Which reminds me to start yet another topic in CHS section.

Awesome  I updated the OP. And no, you don't have to do a speed run at all. If you want to complete all of the DLCs, well, the more the better! I've spent around a month on my Caesar play-through in the New Vegas thread, and I'm pretty much taking my time, wandering around, dealing with small problems (raiders and the like) and now I'm going to do several of the DLCs. If you complete all of the DLCs you'll be the first person in the Fallout 3 challenge to complete the main quest and all 5 DLCs.

So I got a hold of a Ripper went for a good run and got to level 16 nothing on my radar, no noise, no fights for a while.

BOOM!

A freaking bus explodes and sets off a chain reaction of nuclear bombs cars and as I flew in the air there were still no enemies in sight to have blew up the bus/cars :verymad:

I don't see why not. I mean it wasn't that it was Vulpes' weaknesses as a character that got him killed, it was just bad luck and Fallout 3's poorly designed nuclear cars. You have to start over from the beginning though, no reloading from just before the bus blew you up.

In Fallout 3? IMPOSSIBLE I SAY! You might have to resort to detonating them from a safe distance.

You know, you can use those to your advantage. If I'm faced with an overwhelming enemy and I'm taking a beating, AND there's one nearby, I will make a run for the car, but run past it a bit, and use it as long range cover, if you get my meaning. You don't hide behind it next to it, you hide behind it 20 yards away from it. <---Doesn't work so well on flat ground predictably :shocking:
Then I try to time me shooting it and the time it takes to get going, and the time it takes for the enemy to get close to it. You can speed it up with sustained fire or a nade.

Oh I tried using them to my advantage at the start, at the Super duper Mart against a Giant Rad Scorpion.....That nearly cut my playthrough down right there and then, and I was about 15-20ft away, crippled my leg, arm and head.

- The crippling wouldn't have been so bad if I wasn't playing as a Legionnaire, no drugs at all

And it's.....GONE.

Got through O:A then died when I decided to collect the bobblehead at the Deathclaw Sanctuary, the use of StealthBoys was not enough once one clocked me and shots were fired. -_-

OMG. On my way to Vault Tec HQ. Didn't see.... the overlord until it was too late. He was standing next to a bus. I free-handed five grenades at him. All missed, though I did set the bus on fire. He got pissed and started laying down laser fire. I VATSed a nuka grenade at him. Took a couple of bars off, thats it, sigh, with all three ranks of Demolition Expert too. The bus exploded, which took half his health off.

So, now I'm jumping behind this half wall, and popping up to put a clip at a time into the Behemoth who is now starting to advance on me. Then I move to my right, and I realize I'm stuck! Guess who? Dogmeat is barking crazily at me, while blocking my way back to the cover of the half wall. So now I have to run left to get to this corner of a building, anything to get out of the line of fire. Except I can't run away. I'm backed into a dead end, and the only exit is a subway entrance behind the overlord.
I make it to the corner, turn around, trip over the damn dog again, and starting firing down range again. I'm out. Switch to combat shotgun. I'm out. Popping in and out of cover, having to jump over the damn dog.... Stupid dog, attack over there! NO, over there! Stop barking at me and get busy! :swear:

Dogmeat never attacked the overlord. All I had left was two stims and a scoped magnum. Pop the stims, and start putting rounds into him. The last thing I see is me turning into ash. :cryvaultboy: Stupid dog.

RIP Lucas Simms. Finished the MQ pre-BS, was going to get Blackhawk and then hit the PItt. Stupid dog.

Dogmeat tried to take on a Behemoth in my playthrough, that was a sad day, but he fought with great courage. He also took more than ten hits before dying :ermm:

Deathclaw Sanctuary? That place had a lot of glitches last time I was there, for example: my Gauss Rifle wouldn't do any damage, a deathclaw became invincible, and I got stuck in a rock unable to defend myself. Anyways though, as long as a glitch didn't kill you, I guess it's set in stone. :(
