During the TG quest line, Mercer betrays the guild. You are tasked with hunting him down and bringing him to justice. Crash course synopsis right there. Thing is, Karliah asserts that you must become a nightingale if you wish to even come close to killing Mercer. You reluctantly or eagerly agree depending on dialogue choices. After selling your soul, YOUR SOUL to Nocturnal in exchange for becoming a nightingale, you learn from Karliah that becoming one serves only to provide a nominal effect. Meaning, other than earning the title of nightingale nothing has changed. Meaning you could have killed Mercer without selling your soul. Meaning, Karliah made you sell your soul for no reason. You could have still completed the trials at the end of the TG and saved the guild by returning the skeleton key as it was designed for pilgrims. In conclusion, another Daedra has claim to my soul. Sad. I blame Karliah.

And that's why I hate Karliah.

It's a single issue. It kills a sense of loyalty to her, but IMO it hardly puts her in the same category of *** hole like the rest.

Haha, Irileth is one of my Skyrim crushes, so she doesn't piss me off at all :hehe:

Especially in the armor she got from a mod... No, it's not the skimpy sort. It makes her look very heroic when fighting dragons :twirl:
