I have noticed these forums are more civil than most

Have you been in many FO1/2/T vs FO3 vs NV threads?
Other than that I think we behave more due to the Guardians Of The Forums; the mods. (The forum is strict, but in a good way.)

Why Caesars Legion has the Right idea by Josh gro-Graz

The reason why the majority of Fallout players dislike the Legion is because of the way they do things. We all know how they do things so there is no point in explaining it. Caesars Legion has taken over the entire Four State Commonwealth and brought stability, safety, and civilization to it, how many other factions in the Fallout universe can say the same? The reason the Legion does this immoral things is because it’s the fastest way to do it, the people who disagree with the Legions way of doing things fail to realize that they are doing the right thing. The Legion is far from evil, they are one of the few true good factions in Fallout, you probably think I am an idiot but look at the facts.

Arizona was a place dominated by raiders and viscous tribal’s, Raul said it himself, when the Legion appeared they took Arizona and transformed it into a stable region that was safe and civilized. Sure the NCR has brought safety and civilization to parts of California without these methods but they do it for a completely different reason, money and power. The NCR don’t care about there people they only care about making themselves more rich and more powerful.

The Legions views on technology is very true, what did technology bring the Fallout universe? A nuclear war that killed the majority of the population. Caesar is one of the smartest people in the Fallout universe, he has realized that in order to truly bring safety and civilization to the wasteland you can’t be nice and you have to set rules, and that is what he has done, and what has that created? One of the safest places in the Fallout Universe and one of the greatest armies in the Fallout universe. You may disagree with me but the facts are all there. The Legion is the only faction doing things the right way.

The Legion spreads peace and stability through brutal total war and slavery. Peace and stability is achieved in their territories at the cost of life and liberty. One can argue that the Legion is protecting tribals raiders, who probably instituted slavery themselves but to argue that the Legion is somehow spreading civilization into the Mojave and, ultimately, California is a little laughable. The NCR, while you may question their motives, spread ideals of representative government, and a general respect for life into their territories. THis is at the cost of any former tribal or settlement sovereignty and taxes. The NCR does not shun scientific progress and takes advantage of medical science while the Legion does not. Now, if the Legion was to expand into NCR teritories and into Vegas, how do you believe that this is "civilizing" those lands.

Yes, if the Legion is successful there is a good chance that things will be peaceful, but they would be significantly less civilized than they were before. Loss of civilization and a scientific stagnation.

I believe that Obsidian could have done a bit better in the Legion and made them much better than they are. As of now, without any CL DLC at the moment, the Legion is made a clear "last-choice" for many people.

Sure while its happening it won't be stable but once the Legion has taken over and they don't have to fight anymore things will be safe and stable, you have to remember we have only seen the Legion at war, who knows what they are like when they are not.

I agreed with you that the CL brings stability, but they take away freedom and abhor science. Humanity in the West would regress under Legion rule, not be civilized.

I think Mr.House just left him be. Seeing as how Anthony was their fathers favourite son. So when he started going nuts Mr.House might have enjoyed the show. Anthony is a House after all. Maybe he figured out what his brother was up to and came up with his own means of surviving the great war. He did close down H&H in 2077 and was being very paranoid. Maybe he will show up in a DLC in some way, maybe hunted by Desmond.

House, he seems pretty smart. I like NCR freedom and CL stability. Although I dislike NCR inefficiency and Legion slavery, misogyny(sp), and the fact that those Recruit legionary cannon fodder have the NERVE to insult me when midway in the game I could probably poke them once and kill them.

He could perhaps have something to do with a future DLC. But I don't think we'll see Desmond agian

No im certinly not, just took it as an exampel. Let's say new years eve instead, we have it to over here. Lot's of people die because if alcohol, fireworks, fighting etc but we still keep the tradition even if it doesn't do much good. Get my point? Freedom isn't a good thing. Sounds pretty crazy but when you allow people to have freedom it will lead to bad things, not everyone will "turn to the dark side" but I assume you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong I am glad I am free, but I wouldn't mind living with the Legion, mainly because if I was with the Legion I would probably be a Legionary.

Good because thats one thing that i dont like. People insulting MY country. But yah of course its because of excessive partying and everyone's having a good time. But just as long as everybodys having a good time its ok then.
