Who do you hate?

Post » Wed May 26, 2010 5:50 am

There. Are. No. Dunmer. In. Oblivion.

One can only dream. I think Jiub is the only Dunmer that I like. Anyway, on topic, I hate Valen Dreth. Killing him was one of the best parts of being in the brotherhood.

Rufio, just cause. I have no idea why that guy annoys me.

Perhaps because he's a rapist?

That's not very PC! You should go apologize to your local rapists immediately or forever be regarded to as a bigot... Wait a second... Just forget I said anything...

For some reason, I always hated Galbedier (sp?) that stupid wood-elf enchanter you give a fake soul gem to in the Balmora Mage's Guild.

Therana is awesome though. I love a properly mad wizard.

I did too, at first. Until I got to "know her" properly. Disregard that, I did it for a discount.

I've got to say, I find Nine-Toes most unpleasant for kicking me out.

Helseth, because he wanted to replace stuff that made Morrowind an interesting, unique province (the Tribunal Temple, the Great Houses, slavery), with bland, boring Imperial stuff

Slavery was becoming increasingly unpopular. Only two groups really kept slaves, Telvanni and Dren, and even then abolitionists were making things difficult for slave owners. Also, the Temple was going to fade back to ancestor worship due to the Nerevarine; you did sever the heart's connection from the world, which would make Vivec, Alamenxia, and Sotha Sil to become mortal again. And the Great Houses were going to stay, Helseth did remake the Grand Council after the events in Morrowind.

They mean that the Dunmer in Oblivion were not REAL Dunmer. Not the right voices, no "Were watching you...Scum.." and stuff like that which made the Dunmer of Morrowind into the Dunmer weve grown to love.

And on topic, I dont really hate anyone except for the damn Orsimer in Cheydinhal along with Ulrich Leland. Without them, the towns a much nicer place.

I hate any non-essential NPC which I have to escort at any point in time.

Mostly because I wind up killing them (or getting kicked out of whatever faction they belong to) because a stupid wolf comes running up and they decide it is prudent to run between my mace and the wolf.

I really think that they need to have a "Safety mode" (similar to Fable) since they can't seem to be able to design group combat AI which works well.

Indeed. Those were just Altmer with really, really bad sunburns. The red eyes? Well, bloodshot I'd assume - nobody in Cyrodiil seems to be a very heavy sleeper, seeing how the slightest poke or prod immediately gets them out of bed.

In many people's opinions, it seems as if nothing in Oblivion is real. I know what they are referring to, but the Dunmer in Oblivion are real Dunmer. Voices don't change that. Bethesda originally planned to use Morrowind Dunmer voices in Oblivion, but for some reason, they decided not to. Has anyone here seen the Oblivion E3 demo videos? If you have, you should know what I'm talking about. Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL8pyOP0VQI.

Well, Dunmer basically are Altmer with different skin and eye colors. The Chimer looked like Altmers and the only thing that changed when Chimer became Dunmer were the skin and eye colors. Therefore, Dunmer sounding like Altmer should't be shocking.

From a lore perspective, it shouldn't be. From a gameplay perspective, I still think the only Mer which sounded decent with that snooty voice were the Bosmer.

Morrowind goes against the very lore it established. The Dunmer should sound like Altmer, from a lore perspective.

I hate Martin. I want to fight Mehrunes Dagon and save Tamriel.

I think I speak for everyone with hating adoring fan, behind that is the Dunmer, they sound like nerds, and "nerds" do not capture Argonians as slaves. Even though I hate Dunmer, I miss their snotty attitude also. Their is only 5(for each gender) different voice actors in the game, and I know how expensive it is, but If your making all this money Bethesda with these great selling games, use it on voice actors for a better atmosphere in the game.I hate guy in skingrad who tells me to get out of his house or take out my blade, when I do he says "please stop it" and just dies, Plus I GET A BOUNTY!! and a visit from Lachance!!!

That wouldn't make sense, though. It is Martin's destiny to save Tamriel. The PC in Oblivion is an errand boy, nothing more.
