Who do you hate?

Mai'q the liar can go to hell.

It was cool when he was in Morrowind and was directly combatting overused and cliche'd fantasy/RPG game tropes. It wasn't cool when he was in Oblivion and was directly combatting everything in Morrowind that got removed or modified.

I hate... The Camoran Usurper. If he had not been born then the world would have been a lot better off! Without any Camorans and Oblivion Crisises...
I also hate Uriel for dying. And his Blades for letting him die. Captain Renault for not fighting. Mehrunes Dagon for being a troublemaker. Martin for dying. Uriels legitimate sons for dying... Who do I like? Modryn Oreyn is a good guy. Good artist too.
The Dontons are bad... they cant do jack.

Hm... Anyone more that deserves to be liked? Sheogorath... bad that he died.
Yagrum Gabarn or whatever he was called was cool... I like his book "Tamrielic Lore" and I hope that in some game it is possible to find everyone of the artifacts there...

:lmao:

The person who created that needs to be hired by Bethesda's lore department.

EDIT:
That could actually be a good plot, minus the lols (only in-game, all us forumers would get it ;))

I found that a lot of NPC's in Oblivion pissed me off more then in Morrowind, even with all the 'ARRGH OUTLANDEEER's. Must be the voices?

Hannibal Traven, what a useless excrement-stirring sod he was, starting up that gigantic scatstorm just 'cause he doesn't care much for Necromancy. Though the fact that most necromancers seemed to be a bunch of sociopathic power-tripping jerks didn't exactly help the case against it.

Meta-game-wise, you know who I hate? Any female elf, Nord, Orc, and Redguard by virtue of their VAs. ESPECIALLY anybody voiced by Linda Carter, for some reason her voice is like a big aural berserk button for me. The Breton VA for Oblivion was creepy as heck, too.

I don't get the hate for Oblivion Dunmer, though - if anything it was NICE to finally meet some dark elves who weren't a bunch of grimdark jerks, but I guess that's what happens when you aren't choking on ash or getting a beatdown from your local militant church.

Alvai Uvani. Sorry if that's spelled wrong, it's the snobby dark elf who goes: I'll hack your bones, back off! or something. In every Oblivion game I've played, I've killed the guy, or cleverly foudn a way to GET him killed.

I also hate every Fighter's Guild porter (yea real original, Renee :) ).

I also hate orcs. I hate the fact that they're not evil lke the are in every other RPG I've ever played. I hate the fact I have to interact with them! Unless, of course, I'm playing an orc, but I haven't done this yet.

Actually, Orcs are often "honourable" in games. More often, they are evil, but not always. Usually pretty misunderstood, too, similar to Ur.

But yeah, I hated how they wheren't... savage enough. they where too soft. I think they should make orcs more muscular and distorted, similar to WoW, but a lot less exagerrated.

I guess we're from different generations or something, I keep meeting people here who have no concept of how evil they're usually portrayed. I've been playing RPGs since the late '80s (D&D, Melee/Wizard, Runequest, various RPG video games).95% of the time orcs are brutish, evil, and would rather eat an elf or human than converse with one. If one of my tabletop buddies from long ago decided to play a "good" orc, it would be under the assumption that he would constantly be trying to prove himself. Nobody trusted an orc. That's just the way I've always played it.

So misunderstood is a good word. I also agree with you about the 'not savage enough" comment (this goes for Argonians, too). TES has orcs running bookshops, fer cryin' out loud!

I like Vile the best out of the daedra and "gods". He doesn't bs the player, and even though his deals are leaned in his favor, the player always has a legitimate shot at winning. He is also the best source by far about what the daedra are, and what motivates them.

Oh, I know they are usually evil, but they are also often honourable, and hated simply for looking ugly.
