Seriously tho, this is my one HUGE gripe about this game... The beard choices, or lack there of. I just watched a video on Imperial Character creation and there is literally ONE beard choice. Are you kidding me?! I can somehow edge myself up with a Nerelco Pro Goatee Trimmer 10-15 different ways, but can only grow my beard one style?

Is this Def Jam's character creator or did I miss something? I'm seriously annoyed by this.

Agreed! I want more beard options for my men! Was highly disappointed with the choices of beards for my Nord guys. It was either too ugly or too plain.

Some of them reminded me of Calder's bushy beard in Skyrim. Ye no, I want more beard options, pwease!

I have not rolled an Imperial, but there are a number of facial hair choices for the races I have rolled (no beasts yet).

Perhaps they don't have the Imperial fully bearded out as of that video.

Yea i have to even sway in here i wouldn't normally bother with someone like this but there should be a lot of options considering how they advertise how extensive their character creation is. Can mer have beards not sure how yes lore with the pointy ears.

As I said, there are plenty of "goatee" options, just not beard. And ESPECIALLY for Nords, there are TWO beard choices? That's absurd. The Nords, at least should have TONS of beard choices.

I'm talking actual full beard styles, not edged "fresh to death" style goatees and chinstraps... Beards. Man-beards.

I play all my characters clean shaven. I have tried a beard in real life, it itches too much.

But yeah, to add a thought... There is literally NOTHING like the beard that the Nord has in the game trailers themselves. How pathetic is that? Picture that guy with a edged up chinstrap; the whole video would be lame. lol

I do goatee most of the time. What I really want are some awesome gigantic sideburns for my Orc character down the road.

When the Beta opens this weekend, use the /feedback option to report your displeasure at the lack of beard options.

Oh believe me, I have. And will again. I just need to spark a revolution in here to get others to do the same. One voice isn't loud enough. I've even reported it as a "Problem" on the ESO website.

So yeah, spread the word, and even if you don't particularly fancy beards, support the cause!

Since the ability to re-make your character later in the game is pretty standard these days, they could potentially add more in the future, right? The reason I ask is because I'd guess this is one of those "we simply don't have enough time and have other priorities before launch" type of scenarios. One of the recent Q/A interview deals had pretty much every answer of "that is something we wanted to do but ran out of time", so I can only hope that beards will be in our future. Preferably as a full-out expansion. TESO: Reign of the beard.

I don't know too many who wouldn't agree that we need more options to choose from for beards, hair styles, adornments, etc. It inevitably seems in almost any MMO, and even single RPGs that the choices in these areas are in a word, slim pickings. Okay, that's two words.

Adding more ought to be pretty simplistic to do, and given how much time seems to be spent making some of the options we do have, adding more shouldn't be too much of a burden time-wise either. IMO, the character customization that Zenimax has given us is more than pretty good, except for this one aspect.

Adornments and Beard HAVE to be separate. I saw a really cool beard I wanted, but there was some earring I didn't like the look of. Also, when I wanted to role a Dunmer, I saw some earrings I liked(as the male dunmer in TES III wore earrings, well sometimes) yet there was a beard I just could not come not terms with.

Beta is their puberty. In early release they become fully bearded men with big bass voices and leave their adolescence behind forever. Possibly gaining a large segment of the This is Sparta! fanbase.

I agree with this too. Beard, hairstyle, and adornments need to be independent of each other. Good point, CK.

On a serious note, I'll always support more character creation options. More beards; sure, why not.

I will certainly be bumping this thread before the beta weekend begins to remind ppl to take a moment to give in-game feedback on the matter. If you're in guilds, be sure to ask them to petition it as well!

I don't want beards on my Dunmer. Mainly because she will be a... she...
