Who do you worship?

As the title suggests, what God or Goddess do you worship in the game?

My Argonian, Tul, worships Zenithar and the Hist (mostly the Hist).

Worship? There is no worship. There is only Sithis. Only a void. Only chaos. Only nothingness.

Honestly its hard to say because the game gives me no reason whatsoever to want to worship any of the Aedra. I feel the game is very biased where you have lots of quests with Daedra and they make them so cool, yet in comparison to the Aedra, there's practically nothing.

Maybe Jlianos, god of logic and wisdom. I think the God of work and tasks (Stendarr?) is the bumbest thing ever.

There are at least three Aedra quests in the game.

The quests are related to DiBella and Kynaretch/Kyne.

My mercenary archer: Kynareth. Well, Kyne, really. Also has a long-standing feud with Hircine, but not sure if that counts as "worship."

My thief: Mara (the whole trickster Cupid thing works well for her).

My mage: Token worship of Julianos and Zenithar, but not an actual devotee of any of them.

My illusionist thief/assassin: Azura and Nocturnal, with a deep appreciation of Sheogorath's style. Oddly enough, isn't crazy about Sithis.

Stendarr is the God of Mercy and Justice, while Zenithar is the God of Work and Tasks.

Zenithar is not boring in my opinion. He needs more appreciation since he never barely gets recognized by anyone in the Elder Scrolls game so far (excluding Shahvee).

My warrior/soldier/mercenary type characters have regularly worshipped Akatosh and Talos.

Not really. Kynareth is the imperialized Kyne if I remember correctly.

Magus. The architect of Nirn. All the other gods are so dramatic. Magus saw the drama and went "I don't want any of that" and just left.

Kyne is the Nordic version. I hate the imperials and their gods... except for Talos.

Aye, you are correct. I like using the term "Kynareth". I don't know why though; it seems more Goddess-Like than Kyne.

Because he was born in a whaling village in Winterhold, my main character adheres to the Nordic Pantheon, yet has a particular reverence for Tsun and Kyne.

He is also an unknowing pawn/servant of Herma-Mora. Their relationship is quite similar to that of Corvo/Daud and the Outsider in DH.

Malacath. Though, for shrines, I visit Talos since I'm also Dragonborn.

It's actually the other way around. The Cyrodilic pantheon is a hybrid of the Aldmeri and Nordic pantheons.

Kyne and Kynareth share the same role in the mirror pantheons of the Ancient Nords(some parts kept by modern Nords too, so who knows) and the Cyrods, but they are not the same. Kyne is the Warrior-Wife of Shor and the goddess of Storms. Kynareth is a nature loving god, not a warrior-god. Kynareth was one of the gods that the Cyrods accepted and adopted to make a compromise both the Nords and the elves could accept.

Talos was accepted as Ysmir before he was accepted by the Cyrods, so I'd say it is more a case of the Imperials adopting a Nordic god than the other way around.

I chose 'other' and meant 'all'.

I've been using 'paid shrine saves' as a limiter on 'reload until I get lucky' as well as to bleed wealth out of my character. When he is killed I go back to the most recent shrine save, so I'm always looking for a shrine...any shrine...where I can make an offering and do a save. I've even stretched to include the little 'read this tablet' markers on the way up the 7000 steps, where I left some hundreds of coins stuffed in a dead goat.

Nocturnal. Because only the Mistress of Shadows and the Daughter of Twilight, can bring true purpose to this decaying, neglecting and violent world... as well as gold because that's nice, too.

Mara, Goddess of Love and Benevolence.

Next to that would be Stendarr.

My current character is a bard and worships Dibella as the patroness of art and beauty. And well, he doesn't mind worshipping her in a more physical sense as well. :bunny: (He's far from the male version of Haelga, though!)
