who is your favorite character ever from TES

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 3:44 am

Dagoth Ur, probably. I think he's mostly misunderstood, not evil. He wanted to help his people and free them from what he viewed as tyranny, even if his methods were... questionable. But hey, you get backstabbed by your best friends and be forced to live in a volcano for thousands of years, and we'll see what you'll do. A little assassination and terrorism is to be expected of him and his followers. I also love how he's a true gentleman all they way.

Aryon of House Telvanni is also one of my favorites. He's quite similar to Dagoth, to think about it: the only mage lord who actually cares for his people and House, but utterly ruthless when it comes to destroying competition.

Exactly what I was thinking when it comes to Dagoth Ur.

Dagoth Ur is also on my list, for the sole reason that I understand his motives perfectly.

Of course someone says Sheogorath, he is the most overrated character in the whole series, and he is not funny at all.

On topic: Janus Hassildor is my favorite because he is just a badass.
This. Sheogorath is lame.

Hircine is my favorite. As for characters, Aela the Huntress.

This x10000000.

I like Uncle Crassius, Caius, and Martin (hard not to vote for Sean Bean).
Also, Maiq is funny.

Adoring fan, Vivec, Queen Barenziah, or Paarthurnax.

Paarthurnax. A wise old Dragon, who sits atop a mountain for hundreds of years to save mankind from his brother. I still can't bring myself to fulfill Delphine's request.
As for Sheogorath being overrated ... I disagree. He's fantastic, especially in the Shivering Isles. Heck, he even made it into my signature with one of his quotes!

I think he probably is overrated. He's a pretty simplistic view of madness. Also seemed rather aligned with the mania side as opposed to dementia. I think a constantly personality changing Sheogorath would have been better, something truly unpredictable. As he is he's kind of just a sadistic loose cannon who likes contradicting himself and saying random words loudly and then laughing.

That first guard from the prison ship at the start of Morrowind. I always get excited when I see him walking up to me.

It is good to know that there are other people who do not like Sheogorath like me.

I also like Martin because Sean Bean has an awesome voice, and M'aiq is funny I can't wait to hear him say he say a mudcrab the other day horrid creatures.

I've only played Oblivion and Skyrim, but:

M'aiq the Liar

I like him in both.

Paarthurnax. A wise old Dragon, who sits atop a mountain for hundreds of years to save mankind from his brother. I still can't bring myself to fulfill Delphine's request.

I refused Delphine's request, he's my friend! I have the greatest of respect for the old guy.

Brand-Shei, dunno why, but I loved his quest. Wish they would have expanded on him, perhaps help in starting back up his House.
