Who is your favourite NPC in Oblivion?

Who is your favourite NPC in Oblivion... whether its one of the first you met or you just like the quest he/she gives etc. who is your fav?

Personally, I have a strong attachment with The Innkeeper at the Roxey Inn - Malene

When I first started the game, I came out of the sewers and crossed the river and found the Roxey Inn, she gave me my first quest, which I completed, then returned to the Inn for my reward and a nice nap. Just one of those moments. My earliest memory, and just magical, because i really good to check out the environment on this quest etc.

Delightfully, this question has been asked many times over the years. And my answer is always the same:

Savlian Matius. When it comes to noble, selfless heroes, he is the gritty real deal.

So many actually;

Vincente Valtieri
Mazoga
Lord Rugdumph
Jauffre
Lucien Lachance
Janus Hassildor
Haskill
Baurus

Savlian Matius.

A very memorable character and quest. One of my favorites.

Baurus. I was genuinely upset when he died fighting the Daedra outside of the Temple of the One.

Baurus was sadly killed by Jauffre in my game after the great battle of Bruma. Yeah... we won the battle, dead bodies all around and those two hacking each other away.

So i killed Jauffre for retribution and got fined 1000 gold.

I can't pick a personal favorite. I will say, though, that all of the Argonian female characters in the game are very expressive and appealing (as well as being surprisingly different from one another.) They are a wonderful example of how human emotion and expression can be conveyed by the smallest of cues, and their voices are perfect. (All right, I'll admit it; I have a crush on Druja in the Skingrad Mages Guild! ;) )

I know I can see into the future as I myself thought about starting a thread about this just a few days ago. However I wasn′t meant to start it, but I did see it coming ;)

Anyways, there are a lot of NPCs I like.

Anvil: Caernlorn
Bravil: S′Krivva
Bruma: Ongar
Cheydinhal: Rythe Lythandas
Chorrol: Estelle Renoit
Imperial City: Methredel
Leyawiin: S′drassa
Skingrad: The Surilies

None in Kvatch really, my Dunmer didn′t get close to anyone there and now he′s never there.
There are more NPCs I like but I decided to keep it down to one per city :)

This is so true. City Swimmer (RIP), Kud-Ei and Tar-Meena have all played formative roles in Buffy's life. She finds Argonian women to be, almost without fail, kind and helpful. In fact, when she steps into a new place like a tavern or guild hall and is unsure of herself, the first thing she looks for is an Argonian woman to ask for help.

Noble and selfless perfectly describes Martin too. I never saw enough of him because I was off doing other things but I always looked forward to seeing him again and I'd
Spoiler
often place flowers in the Temple of the One for him after he was gone from our physical plane.
I'm a huge Sean Bean fan anyway. After that, it's Jauffre and Baurus and Savlian and there's even a place in my heart for Thoronir at the Copius Coinpurse. We spent a lot of time together in that shop and after helping with his education and transformation, he was always so glad to see me.

Added: Modryn Oreyn. I don't know how I could have left him off my list. :tes:

Most favorite is probably Modryn Oreyn. He tough but with an artistic side. He not pretentious with his simple iron curiass. Also I like the way his view of the Player Character changes as you go through the Fighter's Guild questline.

also...

Savlian of course. The true hero of Kvatch. He could have deserted in the face of overwhelming odds but he stood his ground an then some.

Arch Mage Traven for standing up for his believes. Even at a very high personal cost.

Lord Rugdumph gro-Shurgak because of his way with words

Well, Teresa says Tadrose Helas of course. But my favorite has to be Falanu Hlaalu. You wouldn't know what the fine for necrophilia is in Cyrodiil would you? Just asking...

Whenever I start a new character, I always try to avoid Dar-Ma for as long as possible, just so a certain quest does not begin.

That's either the best or worst pun I've ever heard in my life, and I have a friend who makes them constantly!

I've got a soft spot in my heart for Azzan from the Anvil Fighter's Guild. He's very friendly. Sometimes he even gets into bed with you :lmao:
I also like Maro Rufus, in the Imperial City. He gives Rayn a good price on her armour repairs. Carahil at the Anvil Mages Guild is also a favourite, as is S'jirra in the Faregyl Inn. I felt so bad for her when her potatoes were stolen! She makes delicious bread.
