Whoa! Didn't know this.......

After all this time playing TES, I didn't realize that TES II: Daggerfall was the map with the biggest size in all of TES game releases to date? Here's me assuming that honor went to Cyrodil in Oblivion. According to the link below, it says Daggerfall is 4000 times more massive than Skyrim!

Almost all of it was randomly generated and it was nearly impossible to go anywhere on foot unless you wanted to spend days (real world days) trekking from one kingdom to another. So yeah, it was large, but it made for a completely different experience. First thing you need to do is buy a cart.

You're probably right on Arena. But the fact that an old gen game of a single province is really bigger than provinces in newer gen TES games like Cyrodill & Skyrim? Perhaps the 2 combined?

I guess the current gen graphics don't do the sizes of classic older game maps justice. :D

yeah you're right about this. If Beth remade Arena with the scale and immersion of Skyrim, a map like that would require a top secret super computer to run :D

Which would likely result in a pangea styled map of unprecedented scale in the gaming industry and make R* GTA V look like it was still in Kindergarten......

It would also literally lose fan boys like myself doing 100's of hours searching/questing/exploring in it's interior. On a never ending, futile quest to uncover all of it's secrets/Easter Eggs etc. never mind trying to get around to doing the MQ or any other non MQ side quests. :D

A map like that would definitely put Beth at the pinnacle of the RPG universe.
